How to Eat slowly to Avoid Overeating

Eating slowly can help you to better understand your real hunger signals and can help you to recognize reasons for faster eating, such as emotions or simply liking the taste of a food. However, eating slowly is not a decision that you make suddenly.

⒈Adjust you mind. Do not even attempt to acquire the habit of eating slowly before you're mentally ready. Relax and use your imagination to create mental images that your brain will remember. As part of this mental process, imagine yourself lean and fit.

⒉ Eating slowly isn't just about slowing down the chewing; it also about slowing down your food choices. As you show out the processed food, replace it with healthy, unprocessed or much less processed choices.

⒊Always relax before you start eating. Take a few deep breaths through the nose and not through the mouth. As you do so, hold your breath briefly and exhale(呼气) slowly by the mouth. In this way, you start to remove any risk of comfort eating.

⒋Drink a glass of water or eat a small bowl of soup before your main dish. This will help you sense of fullness. Be aware that not everyone advocates drinking during a meal though, as some people believe that this can remove the nutrients from your meal.

⒌Spend at least 20 minutes on your meal . Eat your last portion really slowly, if you are still hungry after 20 minutes, it means you are eating too fast !

A.Put the fork down after putting food in your mouth.

B.Get rid of the stress before you start eating.

C.Rather, it's a habit that you'll need to acquire with practice.

D.However, specialists believe water actually aids in digestion.

E. Remove as many processed foods from your plate or food storage as possible.

F. Have a wall clock in plain view from the table to adjust your eating speed.

G. It is wise to speak to your doctor about this, if it's still the case for you.

Did you make financial decisions last New Year's Eve? Did they fall by the wayside? If so, you are not alone.{#blank#}1{#/blank#}.

    Make a smart budget

Did you plan to make a budget and fail to do so? This is a perfect time to start, as you are heading into the new year. You may be able to stop yourself from overspending if you realize how overextended you are. If you've taken no other financial steps this year, start by setting a realistic budget.{#blank#}2{#/blank#}.

    Control your spending

Even if you had a budget, were you able to stick to it?{#blank#}3{#/blank#}. Use it as a psychological advantage-you have less to spend so you need to shop harder for bargains and research prices. Impulse buying (即兴购买) will be less likely to attract you and your spending should be more focused as a result.

    {#blank#}4{#/blank#}.

You had a savings goal, didn't you? If you didn't have a specific goal, it may be why your savings effort failed. Set a smaller savings goal now, and use that to build a larger savings goal for the upcoming year. Make sure that you equate(使等同)your savings with a specific goal.

    Reduce your debt

Debt reduction is an important goal, especially in the case of high-interest debt such as credit cards. It's easy to get into an unrecoverable increase of debt if you have no plan to keep debt in check. It is a longer-term goal, but one you need to start right away.{#blank#}5{#/blank#}. That may be a tall task, which is all the more reason to start immediately.

When you think about art, you might consider it to be permanent. After all, that picture you drew in kindergarten might still hang on your refrigerator years later. {#blank#}1{#/blank#} Think about a Broadway performance. When it's over, it's over. Sure, it might live in your memory. But the live show is a special event. It is limited to a certain time and place.

Can you think of other forms of art that are temporary? If you're a fan of the beach, sandcastles might come to your mind. Have you ever spent hours building a beautiful sandcastle? {#blank#}2{#/blank#} You knew your work of art would be gone as soon as the tide came in. The sandy beach is a canvas where nature erases "paintings" daily.

Most of the time, art made from sand can't last long. Still, many people love using sand to create their own unique vision of beauty. One of the most attractive types of sand art is sand animation. {#blank#}3{#/blank#} Artists who work in sand animation use sand to make a set of images that usually tell a story. They often start with a large amount of sand on a flat surface, such as a table. They then use their hands and fingers to draw in the sand.

{#blank#}4{#/blank#} However, the wide variety of beautiful and highly-detailed sand artworks might surprise you. Many of these works or art are temporary. That's where the animation part comes in.

Sand animation artists create a series of images that move to tell a story. They might also use music and special lighting to complete the effect. Sometimes they photograph or video their creation throughout the process. {#blank#}5{#/blank#}.

A. It is a type of live performance art.

B. Not all works of art are permanent, though.

C. Sand animation is beautiful but lasts only for the moment.

D. Then, they turn it into a sand animation movie when it's finished.

E. It might seem like using sand would limit the art you could make.

F. If you have, you would probably be sad when it was time to leave the beach.

G. Building a sand castle is a family-friendly activity perfect for large groups.
