    The key to dealing with test-day anxiety is through preparation! It is important to prepare your mind and body for the experience of working under pressure.

    Get some sleep. I know you've heard this before, but it's often repeated because it's so important. Get plenty of sleep the night before the test! If you don't have enough rest, you'll find it much harder to concentrate.

    Leave early. Be sure to leave earlier than normal on the day of a test to avoid the added fear of arriving late. The embarrassment will cause you to be distracted and lose valuable time.

    Once you arrive at school or at the testing center, find a quiet space where you can be all alone. You can use your car if you drive, or you can find an empty locker room or office (ask a teacher). Once you locate in a quiet place, do a relaxation session. Close your eyes and try to relax completely. Take deep breath and keep calm.

    It's possible that some students start to stress out as other students discuss the material. When you hear others chatting, it might sound like you skipped over something important or you misunderstood a concept. It's probably not even true——but it can seem like it!

A. Take a quiet moment.

B. A sleepy brain is a foggy brain!

C. Watch out for the road conditions.

D. Walking into an exam late is the last thing you need!

E. You might also find time for a quick bite during a break.

F. Don't talk with other students in the minutes before a test.

G. But full preparation means more than knowing the test material.

    Agree to disagree.{#blank#}3{#/blank#} Explain your decision so that he will understand your reasoning and expect respectful responses. Disagreeing with you doesn't equate to disobedience (违抗).

    Control your impulse (冲动) to overact. When a situation arises between you and your child that requires calmness, keep in mind that you are supposed to be modeling correct behaviour. {#blank#}4{#/blank#}

    Praise, praise, praise! So much is focused on what a child does wrong and how to correct it that the accomplishments are not celebrated enough.{#blank#}5{#/blank#}

    "Nature does not hurry, yet everything is accomplished." — Lao Tzu

    If you are in a city where everyone rushes, realize that you don't have to be like everyone else. You can be different. You can walk instead of driving in rush hour traffic. Your environment doesn't control your life — you do. I'm not going to tell you how to give you a step-by-step guide to moving slower. {#blank#}1{#/blank#}.

    ⒈Do less.

    Cut back on your projects, on your task list, on how much you try to do each day. Focus not on quantity( 数量) but on quality(质量). {#blank#}2{#/blank#} Save smaller, routine tasks for later in the day, but give yourself time to focus.

    ⒉Have fewer meetings.

    When you do the some things with focus, without rush, there will be things that get pushed back, and that don't get done. And you need to ask yourself: how necessary are these things? What would happen if I stopped doing them?

    ⒋Practice mindfulness.

    Simply learn to live in the present, rather than things so much about future or the past. When you eat, fully appreciate your food. When you are with someone, be with them fully. When you are walking, appreciate your surroundings, no matter where you are.
