    Going camping is one of the best ways to get in touch with nature and enjoy the beautiful outdoors. However, thorough plans before a camping trip may be boring. Just follow these simple camping suggestions to make your trip safe and rewarding.

     Selecting a suitable tent

    When determining the size of your tent, you should take into account the number of campers as well as the camping equipment(设备) necessary for your trip. There should be enough room in the tent for the camping equipment.

    Importance of food

    While camping, you will need enough food to give you enough energy for your outdoor activities. You should use a two-burner stove to do all your cooking. Insist on simple cooking during your trip to reduce cooking time.

    Enough sleep.

    All campers should have enough sleep during the night. Nights are generally cooler than the days so you need to have enough warm clothes to feel comfortable to sleep during the night. Extra air mattresses(气垫) may be included in your camping equipment to make your bed more comfortable.

    Keep these camping suggestions in mind and make sure you are fully prepared to enjoy your camping trip.

A. When buying a sleeping bag, check that you feel comfortable in it.

B. The best camping trips belong to those people who prepare the best.

C. The comfort level in a tent determines the success of a camping trip.

    Close positively.

    Whenever an interviewer leaves you, shake their hand and thank them for their time. Look them firmly in the eye again. {#blank#}4{#/blank#}

    Write a thank-you email.

    {#blank#}5{#/blank#}The next time you're at your computer, fire off an email to each person you interviewed with thanking them for their time, Mention that you're excited by the prospect of working for the organization and how you think it's a great fit.

    Do you know that there's a new frontier in 3D printing that's beginning to come into focus: food. Recent development has made possible machines that print, cook, and serve foods on a mass scale. {#blank#}1{#/blank#}

    Food production

    With a 3D printer, a cook can print complicated chocolate sculptures and beautiful pieces for decoration on a wedding cake. {#blank#}2{#/blank#} —it takes years of experience, but a printer makes it easy. A restaurant in Spain uses a Foodini to "re-create forms and pieces" of food that are "exactly the same," freeing cooks to complete other tasks. In another restaurant, all of the dishes and desserts it serves are 3D-printed, rather than farm to table.

    Sustainability

    According to a new study, the global population is expected to grow to 9.6 billion by 2050, and some analysts estimate that food production will need to be raised by 50 percent to maintain current levels. {#blank#}3{#/blank#} 3D food printing could probably contribute to the solution. 3D printing can reduce fuel use and emissions. Grocery stores of the future might stock "food" that lasts years on end, freeing up shelf space and reducing transportation and storage requirements.

Nutrition

    {#blank#}4{#/blank#} Hod Lipson, a professor at Columbia University, said, "Food printing could allow consumers to print food with customized nutritional content, like vitamins. So instead of eating a piece of yesterday's bread from the supermarket, you'd eat something baked just for you on demand."

    {#blank#}5{#/blank#}

    Despite recent advancements in 3D food printing, the industry has many difficulties to overcome. Currently, most ingredients must be changed to a paste(糊状物) before a printer can use them, and the printing process is quite time-consuming, because ingredients interact with each other in very complex ways. On top of that, most of the 3D food printers now are restricted to dry ingredients, because meat and milk products may easily go bad.

A. Challenges

B. Opportunities

C. And the industry isn't stopping there.

D. Sustainability is becoming a necessity.

E. Future 3D food printers could make processed food healthier.

F. Here are some new ways to produce 3D printing.

G. Not everybody can do that.

    In life, everyone wants to have friends who he or she can trust forever. {#blank#}1{#/blank#} It is scary because in most cases you have to get out of your comfort zone and put yourself out there.

    However, once the strangeness becomes a thought of the past, it becomes much easier to talk to potential new friends. {#blank#}2{#/blank#}Get over the shyness of meeting new people and be yourself. Start out with a simple conversation like "Hello, I like your coat" or a discussion about the weather. Those icebreakers will give you the time to feel comfortable and help you open the floor for future conversations.

    {#blank#}3{#/blank#}It can be attending a book club or maybe just enjoying a cup of coffee. Making new friendships means learning about someone and sharing stories about each other's life. Think of your new friendship as a plant. In order to grow, you have to water it and provide it with sunlight. {#blank#}4{#/blank#} If you want to make new friends, you have to be willing to make the effort. Keep in mind that some people are more outing than others and it's okay to be reserved(矜持). But it's necessary to make use of opportunities to develop your newly-found friendship.

    One thing to be cautious about, when you meet new people, is to be always genuine(真诚的).{#blank#}5{#/blank#}If you don't like fishing or running, then don't pretend that you do just so someone will be friends with you. Find people that share common interests and goals and build your friendship. Then you'll find it's much easier to keep friendships.

A. Friendships are quite similar.

D. Be true to yourself and don't be someone that you are not.

E. However, making new friends is much easier said than done.

    Although many Chinese students say that their knowledge of English grammar is good, most would admit that their spoken English is poor. Whenever I speak to a Chinese student, they always say, “My spoken English is poor.” {#blank#}1{#/blank#} I would like to suggest that there may be some reasons for their problems with spoken English.

    First, they fail to find suitable words to express themselves due to a limited vocabulary. {#blank#}2{#/blank#}However, you can speak with a limited vocabulary, if you choose a positive attitude. Others will follow you as long as you use the words that you know.

    {#blank#}3{#/blank#}Sometimes they make mistakes when they are speaking because they are shy and nervous. Yet students should remember that their goal should be FLUENCY NOT ACCURACY. Your aim in writing is to be accurate following the rules for grammar and using the right words and spelling them correctly. However, in speaking your aim is fluency. You want to get your message across, to talk to someone in English, as quickly and as well as you can, even though sometimes you may use a wrong word or tense, but it doesn't matter. {#blank#}4{#/blank#}

    The third reason is that not enough attention is paid to listening. You have one mouth but two ears! All that hearing is necessary for you to start speaking.

    Fourth, most Chinese students are reactive rather than proactive(主动的) language learners. Instead of actively seeking out opportunities to improve their spoken English they passively wait for speaking opportunities to come to them and wonder why their English always remains poor. {#blank#}5{#/blank#}

A. The person you are speaking to will understand you and make allowances for any mistakes he hears.

B. Obviously the better answer is to expand their vocabulary.

C. They may try to avoid making similar mistakes next time.

D. If you have this proactive outlook, then you will see English opportunities wherever you go.

E. Second, they are afraid of making mistakes.

F. However, their spoken English does not have to remain “poor”!

G. The second reason lies in the reluctance of using what has just been learned.

Evaluating Sources of health Information

    Making good choices about your own health requires reasonable evaluation. A key first step in bettering your evaluation ability is to look carefully at your sources of healthy information. Reasonable evaluation includes knowing where and how to fins relevant information, how to separate fact from opinions, how to recognize poor reasoning, and how to analyze information and the reliability of sources. {#blank#}1{#/blank#}

    Go to the original source. Media reports often simplify the results of medical research. Find out for yourself what a study really reported, and determine whether it was based on good science. Think about the type of study. {#blank#}2{#/blank#}

    Watch for misleading language. Some studies will find that a behaviour "contributes to" or is "associated with" an outcome; this does not mean that a certain course must lead to a certain result. {#blank#}3{#/blank#}

    Carefully read or listen to information in order to fully understand it.

Use your common sense. If a report seems too good to be true, probably it is. Be especially careful of information contained in advertisements. {#blank#}4{#/blank#} Evaluate "scientific" statements carefully, and be aware of quackery (江湖骗术).

    {#blank#}5{#/blank#} Friends and family members can be a great source of ideas and inspiration, but each of us needs to find a healthy lifestyle that works for us.

Developing the ability to evaluate reasonably and independently about the health problems will serve you well throughout your life.

A. Make choices that are right for you.

B. The goal of an ad is to sell you something.

C. Be sure to work through the critical questions.

D. And examine the findings of the original research.

E. Distinguish between research reports and public health advice.

F. Be aware that information may also be incorrectly explained by an author's point of view.

G. The following suggestions can help you sort through the health information you receive from common sources.

    Talking to strangers along your travels can change your trip into an adventure. Here are rules of thumb to serve as your guide.

    Don't ignore your fellow tourists. When you go to some place off the beaten path, you're likely to meet other tourists there. Find them, and ask where you would go.{#blank#}1{#/blank#}.

    Abandon your phone. Phones often get between you and the surroundings, ruining your chances to make contact with the people you see.{#blank#}2{#/blank#}, take a deep breath and put it in a different pocket or cover it with tape.

    {#blank#}3{#/blank#}. The easiest way to do this is to talk to people who are in "open roles", such as anyone in a public service job, or a taxi driver. Or ask someone seated near you; ask where the person's favorite street is; ask if there's a residential area where it would be nice to take a walk.

    Use a map-or none at all. {#blank#}4{#/blank#}. However, the truth is, sometimes those small streets are nowhere to be found with a map. So ask for directions a lot. Asking for any kind of help is the key to many doors.

    Most Important: Ask good questions. Finding good questions means observing and noticing. A well-turned question shows that you are really paying attentions you are curious and ready to listen.{#blank#}5{#/blank#}.

A. Let strangers make your plans

B. Maps can be of great assistance

C. When the unwillingness gets in the way

D. A good question will get you everywhere

E. They are going to offer advice made of gold

F. Those fellow tourists can make sense of your journey

G. If abandoning your phone isn't practical or feels insecure to you
