短文改错

假定英语课上老师要求同桌之间交换修改作文，请你修改你同桌写的以下作文。文中共有10处语言错误，每句中最多有两处。每处错误仅涉及一个单词的增加、删除或修改。

    Last week, my teacher told us about our school's speech contest, which topic was “my hero”. I thought of my grandpa would be my perfect topic. Then I carefully prepared for contest. A couple of weeks later, after the first round I was choosing to be one of the seven finalists! The final was held soon. I was the sixth to giving the speech. After I finished it, I saw the audience discussing and wondering what they were saying. After the last person finished, the judge made their final decisions and announced that I have won the first prize. The audience were going wildly, clapping and cheering! I was extremely happy. It was such exciting a moment that I will always remember it.

    Last week, I take part in the Cultural Exchange Week. I enjoyed myself in England. I visited the city museum and several place of interest, which made me have better understanding of the English society, culture and history.

    What's more, I was luckily enough to meet my pen friend Tom there. I stayed at his home. And I'll never forget the days when we spent together. When I left England, he offered to me a dictionary for a gift. It's of great help for me to learn English. I will make full use of them and learn English good.

    One of my favorite comedian is George Burns. George began to work in theaters in 1906. In 1923 he started a comedy team with a woman named Gracie, that later became his wife. They were both became big stars, first on the stage and then on radio and TV. However, when Gracie had to stop his work in 1958 because of illness, George nearly disappeared from view.

    Then in 1975, George won a Academy Award for his excellent performance in a film called “The Sunshine Boys”. Not had seen his previous work, millions of young men still became his fans. Everyone had great affection to this little man with a cigar. George stayed very actively when he was in his 90s. He even promised to give a special concert on his 100^th birthday. However, in 1994, he fall in the bathtub and hurt himself. After that, his health never recovered. In 1996, the news he passed away made millions of Americans sad.

    The other day I was getting into my car when I saw the old man walking up the hill. He looked tiring and, as it was quite a rural area, I waited to check that he was OK.     I became interesting in playing football thanks to a small accident. One afternoon where I was in primary school, I was walking by the school playground. Suddenly football fell just in front of me but almost hit me. I stopped the ball and kicked it hardly back to the playground. To everyone's surprising, the ball went into the net. All the football player on the playground cheered loudly, say that I had a talent for football. From now on, I started to play my football with classmates after school. I am a good player now.
