    My friend Lin Tao was born in Liaoning Province to the northeast of China. He met with a traffic accident when he was younger. As a result, he lost one of his legs.     Have you heard from Singles' Day (Nov. 11^th) in China? Many people stay up lately that night, shopping online to get big savings. Well, the US has something like it calling Black Friday. Black Friday is one of the bigger shopping days in the US. It always falls on a day after the Thanksgiving holiday. On this day, store will offer special deals just like on Singles' Day in China. On Black Friday, shoppers will often wake up very early to wait in line at stores after they open. They might start wait in line as early as 2 or 3 am.     Hello, everyone! I would like to share with you my first travel abroad. Last summer vacation, I, together with several classmates, took part an exchange program with the American school. During our visit, I stayed in host families, that gave us an opportunity to learn about American society. The main part of our program was to experience of the school life. Comparing with Chinese students, American students are more open and active. Besides, they have less homeworks and fewer exams. So we also have a lot in common, like being crazy about NBA. When the visit was over, I make friends with some American students, who became very interested in Chinese culture. The American students also benefited many from the program.

    There are many people who help me a lot, among whom are my English teacher, Miss Zhao. I still remember being asked a question in his class, but I fail to answer it. I was very embarrassed that I burst into tear. She didn't blame for me. Instead, she encouraged me with a smile, saying best way to face failure was to keep try and that no success could be achieved without failure.
