    The book I'm reading of talks about afternoon tea in Britain. It is said to have started in the early 1800's. Interesting, it had a connection by the British porcelain (瓷器) industry. Tea in China was traditionally drank from cups without handles. When tea got popular in Britain, there was a crying need for good cup with handles to suit British habits. This led to the grow in the porcelain industry.

    I like traveling. When a holiday approach, I will careful make a plan for it. My friends like traveling either, so we always go out together. Traveling means a lot to you. First of all, every city has its own feature and lifestyle, that offers us a chance to experience diversity. By exploring these place, we can learn a lot beyond the textbook. Besides, after live in the same place and doing the same things all the way, traveling can make us refreshing. Returning back from a journey, we can be full energy again.

    This summer, I attended a journalism-themed summer camp, where I learn a lot.

    I was deeply impressed by the interviews carrying out in the streets. In the beginning, I wasn't used to talk to strangers. But under the help of my teammates, I was able to communicate smooth with them. Then we were noticed most of the answers that we got were brief. Before we discussed the problem, my teammates and I realized that it was because the questions weren't open-ended enough. So we changed their questions and our interviewees were more willing to share with us their ideas in end.

    From this experience, I've gained several skill for interviewing people as a journalist.

    Three years before, like many other girls who were addicting to Korean TV soaps, I was crazy about Korean. Despite of the fact that many people around me thought that I had no gift for foreign languages, for I often failed to pass my English exams, I was determined learn it well. Though I often couldn't make myself understand, I was confident just because I was interested in Korean. Finally, my perseverance pays off and I made a lot of progresses in spoken Korean. This experience has made me firm believe it is interest which really matters on my way to success.

    Interest does have a big influence on them, which I think will without doubt benefit my future career.

    Now I'd like to tell you something that took place in my school yesterday. In the afternoon we had held a grown­up ceremony for our come 18­year­old birthday. At first we made an promise that as grown­up we should have a sense of duty for our society from now on. Then we expressed our thanks to our parents they had gone through hardships to bring us up and our teachers who had been educating us patient. And our teachers also gave them cards expressing their good wishes. Finally we put on wonderfully performances, singing or dancing. We learned a lot from the activity. I think it is of great important for us. I will never forget that day in my life.
