Why is setting goals important? Because goals can help you experience everything you want in life. Instead of just letting life happen to you, goals allow you to make your life happen.

    {#blank#}1{#/blank#} It's life having a sign to show you where you want to go. Think of it in this way. There are two drivers. One has a place clearly in mind which can be found on a map. He can drive straight there surely without any wasted time. The other driver has no goal or map.

    {#blank#}2{#/blank#} But she drives aimlessly(无目的地) around, never getting anywhere, just using up oil. Which driver do you want to be?

    {#blank#}3{#/blank#} They decide what they want in life and then get there by setting goals and making plans. Unsuccessful people just let life happen by accident. Goals aren't difficult to set, and they aren't difficult to reach.

    By the time I was 12, my grandmother thought I had done such a good job that she promoted me to selling cosmetics（化妆品）. I developed the ability to look customers directly in the eye.     The job taught me a valuable lesson: to be a successful salesperson, you didn't need to be a Rocket scientist—you needed to be a great listener.{#blank#}5{#/blank#} Except they are no longer women purchasing cosmetics from me; instead, they are kids who tell me which toys they would like to see designed and developed.

She buys some vegetables for dinner. And she buys some pears and bananas, too. I like reading (阅读), so I buy some books. I buy a toy ( 玩具) dog for my sister Lucy. She likes dogs very much.

    At 6:20 we get home and we have dinner at 7:00. In the evening we watch TV. I think I have a great Sunday.

Have you ever been to Holland（荷兰）? If you live in Japan and you have never been to Holland, you should go to Huis Ten Bosch（豪斯登堡）. Huis Ten Bosch is an amusement park near Nagasaki（长崎）in Japan. All the houses there look like the houses in Holland. All the restaurants have famous food from Holland, such as cheese.

Huis Ten Bosch is really big. There are five large hotels there. The park has an old-fashioned train, many buses and taxis, and several boats for people to travel around. Most of the buses and taxis are more than 80 years old. For people who like shopping, there are many stores where you can buy the souvenirs from Holland. For people who like movies, there are many movie theaters. One of them shows cartoons all day. Athletic visitors can enjoy ice skating, tennis and swimming. For people who are interested in animals, there's wonderful zoo. The zoo has many animals from South America, especially Peru（秘鲁）. If you want to visit the amusement park, you have to take a boat. There are many boat rides for visitors to Huis Ten Bosch.

{#blank#}1{#/blank#}⑴The most unusual museum in London is the Science Museum. In most museums, there's no shouting and no running, and people aren't allowed to touch the exhibits (陈设品). But the Science Museum is different. It's noisy! People can talk about what they will see and do there, and some of the machines are noisy as well.

{#blank#}2{#/blank#}⑵When I visit the Science Museum, I go to the Launchpad (发射台). This is the most popular room because there are lots of physics tests. We can also learn how astronauts travel into space and back again here. I'm really interested in those kinds of things, so it is my favorite room.

That means we can drop by for a few minutes or we can stay as long as we like—it's open from 10: 00 a. m. to 6: 00 p. m.every day except Monday. So if you go to London, make sure you visit the Science Museum. It's my favorite museum in the whole world.

A. In a word, it's good for us students to join school clubs to develop ourselves in an all-round(全面的) way. Why not choose a club right now and go for it?
