    I'm glad that I have made great progresses in my English before I became a senior high school student. When I started senior English, I found it much more difficult than which I learned in junior school and I almost lost the heart.     Water is very important to us, without that there would be no life. therefore, some people don't turn the tap off at once after using it. some people don't realize they wash them in the shower too long.     My father is an engineer. Although he is in Africa most time of the year and there isn't much time for him to be with the family, but we are all proud in him. He builds railways there. It's important part of the great Belt and Road project. At first people there found the Chinese and their work strangely. My father often saw people running after trains out of curious. People there even didn't understand that the Chinese people work very hard. Now, however, the African people have seen the benefits bringing by the railways and they are willing to make friends with the Chinese here. My father had already made some African friends and one of them is planning to come to visit us. We are looking forward to show our African guest around our city.

    Last Sunday was funny day for my father. After supper, my father went to see a film. But to our surprise, he returned back just about half an hour later. I asked him what was the matter.     I really appreciate that you have been paying close attention to the Calligraphy Contest. I'm writing provide you with some relevant informations.

    Aimed at encouraging us to learn traditional culture but attach great importance to handwriting, the Calligraphy Contest of our school enjoying a huge success. A large number of students and even some teachers took an active part in it, which the participants handed in our satisfying works which were later graded by Calligraphy masters. And then the excellently ones were exhibited to the public. As far as I'm concern, this kind of activity benefit us a lot. Calligraphy is very meaningful and gives us peace of mind as well.

    The contest will also be held the next year. You're welcome to enter for it, too.

    At four years old, I used to sitting by the door with a guitar my mom bought me and begged my musician father to teach me.
