    Last summer holiday, I paid visit to Hong Kong with my father. To their surprise, we found the streets were not as wide as those in our city. The bus and cars were running very fast.     Last night a strong wind as well as a heavily rain struck our area. News came that the trees in the park two kilometers away from our school was blown down. This afternoon, they set off the park to do some cleaning. The head of the park met us or gave us some advice on how to clear away the falling trees, branches and leaves. Sometimes later, we were working hard when it begins to rain. Because few of us had taken along umbrellas or raincoats, so we were all wet. A rain lasted about an hour and it was a pity that they had to stop our work.

    When I was eight, my father bought me the new bike for my birthday. My brother offered to taught me how to ride. At first, he rode and let me watching. Then he explained me the skills of controlling the bike. Still puzzling, I got on the bike, but it didn't move as expected. I lost my balance and fall off the bike. At once I burst into tear because I saw blood on the ground. While I stood up, my left leg hurt bad. Later, I learned to ride a bike. This experience told me that though some lessons were painful to learn them, yet we could benefit a lot.

    The best gift I have ever received is a hand-made calendar. It was made up by my best friend Jane, with who I have so much in common. On each page of the calendar, there is the picture of us with some word written by Jane. She either tells me what she feels about our friendship or encourages me try my best and live a happy life. Whenever I look at the calendar, I am touched by something warmly, and my heart is filling with love. This gift is a memory of the wonderful time I spend with Jane in junior high school and I will keep them forever.

We students have had many tests or exams. We have both achieved success and suffer from failure, but different students has different attitudes towards failure.

Some fall in low spirit when they don't do well in the exams. What's worse, some even lose their heart and no longer study as harder as before. However, most students take an active attitude on failure. They find out the causes so that they will avoid made the same mistake.

In my opinion, failure is the mother of success, that can teach us a lot in the process of reaching our finally goals. Only by tasting failure can we enjoy fruit of success.
