Life is kind of like a party. You invite a lot of people, some leave early, some stay all night, some laugh with you, some laugh at you, and some show up really late. But in the end, after the fun, there are a few who stay to help you clean up the mess. And most of the time, they aren't even the ones who made the mess They are the ones who matter most. Here are four things real friends do differently:
They face problems together. A real friend is someone who sees the pain in your eyes while everyone else still believes the smile on your face.Just look for someone who will face them with you.
Your word means everything. If you say you're going to do something, DO IT! If you say you're going to be somewhere, BE THERE! If you say you feel something, MEAN IT! If you can't, won't, and don't, then DON'T LIE. Real friends keep promises and tell the truth upfront.
They accept each other. Trying to change a person never works. A real friend is someone who truly knows you and loves you just the same. Be yourself and people will love the real you. If you feel like changing something about your friend, ask yourself what change you can make in yourself instead.
They support each other's growth changes. Our needs change with time. When someone says, “You've changed,” it's not always a bad thing.Don't apologize for it. Instead, be open and sincere, explain how you feel, and keep doing what you know in your heart is right,
A. They keep their promises.
B. No one is happy all the time.
C. They make time for each other.
D. Don't change so that people will like you.
E. Sometimes it just means you've grown.
F. These people are your real friends in life.
G. Don't look for someone who will solve all your problems.
Money Matters
Parents should help their children understand money.{#blank#}1{#/blank#}So you may start talking about money when your child shows an interest in buying things, candy or toys, for example.
1)The basic function of money
Explaining the basic function of money by showing how people trade money for goods or services is important to show your child how money is traded for the thing he wants to have.
If he wants to have a toy, give him the money and let him hand the money to the cashier.{#blank#}2{#/blank#}When your child grows a bit older and understands the basic function of money, you can start explaining more complex ways of using money.
2)Money lessons
Approach money lessons with openness and honesty.{#blank#}3{#/blank#} If you must say no to a child's request to spend money, explain, “You have enough toy trucks for now". Or, if the request is for many different things, say, “You have to make a choice between this toy and that toy.”
3){#blank#}4{#/blank#}
Begin at the grocery store. Pick out similar brands of a product-a name brand butter and a generic(无商标产品),for example. You can show your child how to make choices between different brands of a product so that you can save money.{#blank#}5{#/blank#} If he chooses the cheaper brand, allow him to make another purchase with the money saved. Later, you may explain how the more expensive choice leaves less money for other purchases.
A. The value of money. B. Wise decision. C. The best time to teach a child anything about money is when he shows an interest. D. Ask yourself what things that cost money are most important to you. E. Tell your child why he can—or cannot—have certain things. F. Talk about how the money bought the thing after you leave the toy store. G. Permit the child to choose between them, |
We all want to do so much: complete our never ending list of tasks and projects, help everyone, travel everywhere, learn a lot of new skills, read every book and watch every good film. {#blank#}1{#/blank#} There isn't enough time in the day, nor do we have much attention to devote to everything.
Give up on trying to do it all. {#blank#}2{#/blank#} It is important for you to make your days count(有价值). How do you do that? Here are some ideas:
{#blank#}3{#/blank#} When you eat a good meal, it's wasted if you actually ignore(不理会)it and are reading on your phone instead. It's an amazing meal only if you really enjoy it. In this way, if we enjoy each moment, they really matter.
Be satisfied. We always want to do more, be more, experience more. And so, we're never satisfied with the little we actually can do and experience. Instead, we should learn to be happy with what we've chosen to do, knowing that we let go of the rest for a reason. {#blank#}4{#/blank#}
Realize that we're not really in control. The first few items on this list might give you the idea that you can control your life by simplifying…but the reality is that your day will never go as planned. You can try, but there will always be the unexpected, the unplanned. {#blank#}5{#/blank#} We should learn to appreciate that experience as it comes, whatever it is.
A. Pay attention. B. That's just how things go. C. Yet we can't possibly do them all. D. Put only the best things in each day. E. Don't try to have the most perfect life you can create. F. We can accept the reality that is exposed when we let go. G. We should be thankful for what's actually in front of us and the experience we are given. |
