Shakespeare's Hamletis {#blank#}1{#/blank#} (probable) the most important play by the most important writer in English. {#blank#}2{#/blank#} (see) quite a few productions of Hamletand read the play many times, I was full of confidence— until the Peking Opera came to town! {#blank#}3{#/blank#} (date) back to the 18th century, Peking Opera has over two hundred years of history. Does this mean it's {#blank#}4{#/blank#}(easy) than a Shakespeare play to understand? {#blank#}5{#/blank#} (find) out the answer, I just had to go and see The Revenge of Prince Zidan— the Peking Opera version of Hamlet. 

My favourite part of the show was how the characters moved on stage. I had never seen Prince Hamlet do a backflip before! That was simply incredible. It was so dazzling and {#blank#}6{#/blank#} (energy) that I wasn't sure whether the characters were performers {#blank#}7{#/blank#} athletes! Everyone was {#blank#}8{#/blank#}(clap). Before {#blank#}9{#/blank#} (experience) The Revenge of Prince Zidan, I wasn't sure if I would enjoy it. But, in fact, I was on the edge of my seat! Feeling the strong emotions of love, anger, fear and grief in the performance, I could easily recognise the theme of Hamlet. So, if you want to see a show {#blank#}10{#/blank#} combines music, singing, drama, poetry and costume design with explosive effect, The Revenge of Prince Zidanticks all the right boxes!

No one could have expected that slow-moving Qigong {#blank#}1{#/blank#}(become) popular among Chinese young people in the past several years. Short videos of young Chinese doing traditional fitness Qigong have flooded video websites, among {#blank#}2{#/blank#} a video of Baduanjin has been played for more than 10 million times and received over 6,000 comments on a video sharing platform {#blank#}3{#/blank#}(target) young people.

Baduanjin is one of the oldest fitness methods {#blank#}4{#/blank#}(stay) healthy in China, originally created over 800 years ago during the Song Dynasty. The name refers to how the eight individual movements provide a soft quality {#blank#}5{#/blank#} the movement of the body.

Compared with more {#blank#}6{#/blank#}(physical) demanding sports such as the ball games or swimming, Baduanjin is slow and usually accompanied by restful music, so it used to be considered as the sport meant for the elders. However, not requiring much space, equipment or time, it's perfect for office workers, as they often suffer from back and neck pain {#blank#}7{#/blank#}(cause) by sitting in front of computers for hours.

On May 29,2021,a documentary film called One Day When We Were Younginvited 16 alumni(校友)—all famous scholars—{#blank#}1{#/blank#}(share) their stories about the National Southwest Associated University. It {#blank#}2{#/blank#}(bear) when Japan invaded northern China in 1937. To save their educational and intellectual heritage {#blank#}3{#/blank#} the Japanese invasion, the remaining students and faculty at Peking University, Tsinghua University and Nankai University first retreated to Changsha in Hunan Province, and {#blank#}4{#/blank#}(late) headed south toward Kunming in Yunnan Province. The three universities joined together as the National Southwest Associated University, {#blank#}5{#/blank#} was also known as Xinan Lianda in Chinese.

Xinan Lianda had 5 colleges and 26 departments, with 179 professors. Students there could have a higher education {#blank#}6{#/blank#}(base) in large part on the American model. It sought to provide general education and {#blank#}7{#/blank#}(academy) freedom.

Though Xinan Lianda is {#blank#}8{#/blank#}(physical) gone and each school moved back to its original home in 1946, the experience of studying there had {#blank#}9{#/blank#} everlasting impact on students.

"The National Southwest Associated University set a good example for contemporary Chinese universities, and there are many treasured {#blank#}10{#/blank#}(legacy) for us to inherit, to cherish, and to share," Li Zhong, vice-president of the university's Beijing alumni association, told the Global Times.
