    Recently I have started a new job in a small office, which four of us share a water filter(净水器). One of my coworker complained the water tasted "dirty", and she is astonished I could drink the water with any trouble. I even started to doubt my taste buds, but the water really tastes fine. Finally, she figured out the problem was actually my cup, which she simply forgot to clean.

    I can't help but to think about the world we live. Too often we quickly blame other people, other things, something else but ourselves.     As the development of the Internet, there is a kind of language calling the Web Language. The other day our class have a discussion about if we should welcome the Web Language. Forty percent of students think it ridiculous. In their opinions, it does no good to helping people communicating, nor is it useful for learning English Besides, it'll make Chinese more standard, finally ruining our mother tongue. However, 60% of our class are fond of it. They think it simple, convenient and helpful in expressing them. Personally, I think it's not a good habit to use the Web Language. It may be popular, but you may make yourself be misunderstood.

Dear Editor,

    I'm the only daughter of my parents. So they worried about everything I do. For example, when I ride my bike, my parents won't let me ride by myself. They are afraid of I might fall off my bike and hurt myself. Instead, they are taking great trouble to support a bike, with my mother even carrying a first-aid box. I'm not free to ride and I often say angry, 'Why not let me ride alone?' Now, most family have one child. Parents want to do everything for his children. This does no good on them. Too much love from parents may prevent children from become independent. In my opinion, parents should let their children do that they should do alone.

    Last year, my father promised when I did well in my exams, he would give me the special prize. After that I worked hardly and finally got very good marks. Knowing my dream was to see some real snow, my parents took me a local ski resort (滑雪胜地) for my winter holiday. As we climb through the mountains, we saw the snow on the tree. No one in my family had ever been touched snow before. We were all exciting like little children but delighted to play with the snow!     I'm glad to hear that you are considering make up with Peter. If I am you, I would consider a bike as a birthday present for him.

    As far as I know, Peter is always in poor health, so he should take more exercises by riding a bike to have his body build up. In the meanwhile, you can often go out by bike together, which is helpfully in rebuilding your friendship. Besides, taking a bike is environmentally friendly means of transport.
