Emily has so many {#blank#}1{#/blank#} in her family. She has to do her homework {#blank#}2{#/blank#} school. She can't go out {#blank#}3{#/blank#} school nights. She has to wash the dishes after dinner，and then she can watch TV {#blank#}4{#/blank#}half an hour. She likes {#blank#}5{#/blank#}. She usually reads at night. She has to be in bed {#blank#}6{#/blank#} ten o'clock because she has to get up {#blank#}7{#/blank#} the next morning. She {#blank#}8{#/blank#} a music club.

    She has to {#blank#}9{#/blank#} her guitar every day. She doesn't think she's {#blank#}10{#/blank#}.

    Jack's uncle lives in a village. This summer Jack went to stay with him. He {#blank#}1{#/blank#} his holiday there. Every day they went out for a walk and his uncle {#blank#}2{#/blank#} at everyone. Jack didn't {#blank#}3{#/blank#} and asked，“ Uncle George, do you know {#blank#}4{#/blank#} around here?”

    “No,” said his uncle.

    “Then why do you smile at them?” asked Jack.

    “Well, when I smile at someone, if he {#blank#}5{#/blank#} me, he'll be happy. But when I smile at someone, even though he doesn't know me, he'll feel {#blank#}6{#/blank#} and think, ‘Who is that man? Why does he smile at me?' He'll think about these {#blank#}7{#/blank#} all the way, and he will be {#blank#}8{#/blank#}, too. So I give everyone happy {#blank#}9{#/blank#} I think nobody refuses the smiles.”

    “I see, Uncle George. Being kind to others is also be kind to {#blank#}10{#/blank#},” Jack said happily.

    I had been in London for two years. During the time I was {#blank#}1{#/blank#} there, my strong wish was to go back home instead of {#blank#}2{#/blank#} in the city I didn't know well.

So when the day came for my {#blank#}3{#/blank#}. I had a strange feeling and my mind was full of beautiful things in London—-the tall trees around my {#blank#}4{#/blank#}, the clean streets, the school library, the old church near the school and so on. I was for the first time not sure {#blank#}5{#/blank#} I really wish to go. I was becoming good at spoken English and interested in the different way of living in London.

    Most important of all. I did not want to leave my {#blank#}6{#/blank#} who were near and dear to me during the two long years. I felt like running into the head teacher's office and telling him that I really didn't want to go home. But on the second thought I stopped myself {#blank#}7{#/blank#} the plan. My parents are quite old and I might have no time to see them again if I gave up this plan. At the airport, most of my teachers and friends came to see me off and quite a few gave me {#blank#}8{#/blank#}. Many group photos were taken and before long the final moment came. Everyone shook hands with me and said goodbye to me. Their eyes were filled with {#blank#}9{#/blank#}and I knew they were {#blank#}10{#/blank#} at the moment.

    It is fun being a vet. I like it. Although it is hard work, every day is different! It all depends on what is wrong with the{#blank#}1{#/blank#}that come in.

At my clinic, I work long hours on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays, and short hours on Tuesdays, Thursdays and Saturdays. Sunday is my day off so I can{#blank#}2{#/blank#}some time with my family.

    My day at my clinic begins at 7 a.m. My clerk opens the door,{#blank#}3{#/blank#}some music, and makes everyone a cup of tea or coffee. My assistant cleans and feeds the animals. The phones start to ring, and people make appointments. This is a very{#blank#}4{#/blank#}time of day!
