Thanks to the development of technology in the past few years, people now can read news on the Internet quickly. {#blank#}1{#/blank#} holding a newspaper to read, some people prefer to get worldwide news on mobile phones, computers and so on. So, does it mean it is the {#blank#}2{#/blank#} of information technology and newspapers will be replaced(取代) in the future?

    On the one hand, many people believe that newspapers will be replaced. Online news {#blank#}3{#/blank#}  in a minute but newspapers can't. So, by taking advantage of technology, people can connect {#blank#}4{#/blank#}  with the world in minutes. What's more, many people prefer to read electronic news {#blank#}5{#/blank#}  they think it is not only fast but also cost little. Besides, using paper means cutting trees. Reading online news can {#blank#}6{#/blank#}  protect trees and save paper.

    On the other hand, some people believe that newspapers will still exist(存在) in the future. Firstly, not everyone likes to read online news since some of them think it is bad for {#blank#}7{#/blank#}. Secondly, the development of high technology is not spread {#blank#}8{#/blank#} the world. The online services will only be {#blank#}9{#/blank#} in developed countries, but not in some other developing or poor countries. So, people there may still read newspapers.

    In short, although it is {#blank#}10{#/blank#} that electronic news has developed quickly in the past years, newspapers still play a certain role in our modern life.

    Most people sleep at night, but Frank sleeps during (在……期间) the day and works at night. His work is to guard（守卫） a big {#blank#}1{#/blank#}. Frank likes his work. He knows that it is {#blank#}2{#/blank#} to guard the building at night. If he hears any noise, he goes {#blank#}3{#/blank#} to see what it is. Most of the time he walks around inside the big building, but he also walks around outside. When he is {#blank#}4{#/blank#} he can sit on a chair by the door (门). It is very cold in winter. He always {#blank#}5{#/blank#} a warm coat when he is working.

    Frank used to feel lonely (过去感到孤独) because no one {#blank#}6{#/blank#} with him in the evening. One night when Frank was walking outside, he {#blank#}7{#/blank#} a noise. He went very quietly to the noise to see if someone was there, {#blank#}8{#/blank#} he only saw a small dog. Frank talked to the dog. It {#blank#}9{#/blank#} cold. He took the dog inside the building, and the dog followed {#blank#}10{#/blank#} around happily.

    Now Frank is not lonely. The dog is his good friend.
