It is the Thanksgiving Day . I have the strong desire to write about something to express my thanks to the people around me.

    From the first day I arrived in Kunming, I had my understanding of China {#blank#}1{#/blank#}(change). Far from being narrow-minded and hostile to {#blank#}2{#/blank#}(foreign), people came up to talk to me the first time I went out on the street. It happened to be all in Chinese, so I didn't understand much, {#blank#}3{#/blank#}it did cause me to rethink my assumptions.

    As my Chinese improved, this continued throughout my stay, from my landlord introducing me to people who could help us learn Chinese to {#blank#}4{#/blank#}(get) to know the couple who ran a noodle restaurant nearby.

    If you're interested in other people, their culture, and their language, they'll be{#blank#}5{#/blank#}(friend) to you. China isn't {#blank#}6{#/blank#}exception.

    Don't judge a country by its media coverage, {#blank#}7{#/blank#}(especial) some Western media, which have much prejudice.

    I saw a very different kind of China with my own eyes. Kunming, {#blank#}8{#/blank#} I lived for most of my stay, wasn't much polluted. I had frank conversations with Chinese people about almost everything.

    Still China {#blank#}9{#/blank#}(develop), but the economic growth means that most people {#blank#}10{#/blank#}(see) their living standards improve rapidly in the last 20 years. People I spoke with were generally optimistic about the future.

    In his book, Intentional Living, author John Maxwell shares that back in 1976, he received a gift from one of his{#blank#}1{#/blank#}(assist).As he unwrapped the gift, he saw that it was a book{#blank#}2{#/blank#}(name) The Greatest Story Ever Told. He couldn't wait{#blank#}3{#/blank#}(read) it.

    But when he opened the book, he was{#blank#}4{#/blank#}astonish) to see that the pages were blank. Inside the book was{#blank#}5{#/blank#}note that said, "John, your life is before you.     Every day we live out our story through our words, actions and decisions. But we must remember to live with intention to focus{#blank#}7{#/blank#}what matters most in life and to regain that focus when we get changed. Without intention, we can become unfocused in things{#blank#}8{#/blank#}needn't add to a life of significance and difference in our world.

    Life isn't perfect and it's always hard, {#blank#}9{#/blank#}we need reminders in our life from a friend, author, blogger, pastor or our inner spirit to re-focus us on the things that matter and make us live{#blank#}10{#/blank#}(positive).

    The Internet {#blank#}1{#/blank#} (become) part of young people's life. {#blank#}2{#/blank#} report shows that 38% of students often use the Internet.
