    Everybody has a home. Animals also have their homes. People live in many different kinds of houses. Animals have different kinds of houses, too. Some animals live in holes under the ground. Woodchuck lives under the ground. Its home has two doors. If any enemy comes in through one door. The woodchuck will go out through the other one. Some animals live in holes or in trees. Squirrels build their nests high in the trees. Birds also live in holes or in trees. And most of them live in their nests. Only hawks build their nests high in the mountains.

    Dinosaurs lived long ago. One kind of dinosaurs lived in a desert (沙漠). One of these dinosaurs wanted to lay eggs. It made a hole in the sand (沙子) and put the eggs inside. It covered them with sand. A strong wind started to blow. It blew and blew. More sand blew over the eggs. Soon the eggs were buried (埋) in the sand.

    A long, long time went by. There were no more dinosaurs. But there was still a desert. And the eggs were still there. But they changed. They turned to stones!

    Some people came to the desert. They were looking for old things. They found the stone eggs. Before that, no one knew how dinosaurs were born. But now we know that.

    Hi, I am Lily. I have a good friend. Her name is Sarah. She is polite. We are in the same class. We go to school from Monday to Friday. We have four classes in the morning and two in the afternoon. I like Tuesdays, because we have art classes on Tuesdays. I can draw pictures in art classes. Sarah likes Fridays. We have music classes on Fridays. Our music teacher is Miss Yang. She sings well. She is very kind. We have lunch at school. My favourite food is beef. Sarah likes hamburgers best. We all like the weekend. We can play ping pong together on the weekend.
