Sha Xiaolan, the chief producer (总制片人) of the opening ceremony, said, "We've fully integrated (融入) AR and 3D technologies into the opening ceremony. This was probably the greatest integration of technology into something like an opening ceremony of this kind."

The opening ceremony started from the Kongming Lanterns at the beginning. In between, there were shows of the three mascots through 3D technology. And you could enjoy the digital fireworks and digital torchbearer in the end.

"You saw a little of such technologies during the closing ceremony at the Beijing 2022 Olympic Winter Games. But now we have better techniques and creativity." Sha said. "We integrated these technologies into the ceremony to show that Hangzhou is trying its best to hold environmentally-friendly Asian Games. We were improving and making things better," Sha said. "I think the opening ceremony is beyond our expectations."

Do you know about Sally? She's good-looking and well-spoken, but also is obedient(听话的). That's to say, she'll do anything that you ask her to do. Sally is a personal assistant robot. Bill Moir. a university teacher and computer engineer, spent more than a year finishing this robot. And now Sally can do many things, such as turning on the radio, and even playing and working on computers.

In other parts of the world, there are similar robots,but Bill's is to help disabled (残疾的) people around the home.

About one month ago, Bill said, "I'll make a special house. When you come in, Sally will be there on the big screen for you. You can ask her to read your e-mails, tell you the news and how the weather is. You can also askher to help you buy something you need.She'll be able to do many other things if you like."

Although Sally is a robot, it seems that she could do a better job than a human helper.

Bill's working on a new project (项目) now. He wants to improve Sally so that she can do more and better work for people.

Singapore is a small island nation in Southeast Asia. Singapore is both the name of the country and its capital. It is said that a prince named the Island Singapore, meaning "Lion City". It's also called "Garden City" because gardens and trees are everywhere. Singapore Island and about 60 small islands make up the country. Almost 5,630,000 people live there. That makes Singapore one of the most crowded countries in the world. Most people speak English, but Chinese, Tamil (an Indian language) and Malay are also official languages. What's more, it is very hot and often rains in Singapore.

There are some funny records as well. A T-shirt was made to set a record. It's about a hundred times bigger than an usual T-shirt and it took almost 11, 000 hours to make it by hand. The most people for watching a basketball game is 3, 589 million(百万) for NBA in 1998.

As a student, you must have met different kinds of teachers. Do you like them? Do you {#blank#}1{#/blank#}(确切地) understand them? Here are my opinions about my three teachers.

Ms. Li is my English teacher. To begin with, I was poor in English and often made mistakes in {#blank#}2{#/blank#}(语法). Now, I have improved a lot because she always asks me to take notes in class and explains difficult points to me clearly. She {#blank#}3{#/blank#}(避免)making us feel silly. I've always hated making mistakes or worrying about my reading {#blank#}4{#/blank#}(速度), but Ms. Li just smiles, so that I don't feel that silly!

Ms. Chen is very serious and strict. In her class, we don't {#blank#}5{#/blank#}(敢于)to say a word if she doesn't ask us to. Some of our classmates don't like her because she seldom {#blank#}6{#/blank#}(赞扬)us. But I don't think so, I really {#blank#}7{#/blank#}(仰慕)her because her teaching is so well-organized and clear. Thanks to Ms. Chen, I got more chances to take part in the math {#blank#}8{#/blank#}(竞赛).

Mr. Wu is very popular. Ho likes playing {#blank#}9{#/blank#}(悦耳的) music in his class. You can't imagine what a great teacher he is! He's really understanding and funny. When he thinks we're getting bored, he will ask us to sit {#blank#}10{#/blank#} (在…旁边) him and tell jokes to make us active again. We really respect him a lot.
