Being street smart is an important skill tohave and a good way to take care of yourself.

    Always carry your phone with you, but do notlook at1 whileyou are walking. Being able to communicate or call for help is important, so keepa list of useful numbers. But put your phone away while you are walking so thatyou can keep your2 upand see what's going on around. If you do need to check your phone,3 andlook at it quickly.

    Don't wear earphones4 you are out. If you have to5 something when you're out, use only oneearphone or play it at a very low volume(音量).

    Travel with6 or family members when possible and never go anywherewith a stranger. It's7 tobe careful with strangers. Remember not to get into a stranger's car if they callyou over.

Can anyone be an astronaut (宇航员)?

Of course not. You don't have to have a science degree but most astronauts do. Most of them are pilots too. Life in a spaceship is hard so you must have a healthy body and mind. You need to be easy-going, patient, and helpful to spend so much time in a small space with other people.

What's the training like?

People have to train for a year to learn how to stay healthy and safe. They practise space walking and living in zero gravity (重力). They train in difficult conditions to learn how to solve problems and to work in a team. Everyday tasks like eating, washing and sleeping can be difficult on a spaceship. There is no running water so you have to wash with wet tissues (湿纸巾); it's hard to enjoy the dry food that astronauts have to eat. And to sleep you must cover your eyes because the sun rises every 90 minutes on the International Space Station. You also have to tie yourself to something so you don't fly away!

What healthy problems do astronauts have?

Life in zero gravity causes changes to our bodies. Bones and muscles become thin and weak so you must do a lot of exercise in space to stay fit and to help the heart move blood around your body. Astronauts often get backache because you grow in space—up to 8 centimeters (厘米)! It's also common to have headaches and to feel sick, especially at the beginning. You must have vitamins (维他命) to take the place of fresh fruit and vegetables. But you don't have to put on sun cream because space suits protect your skin.

Have you heard of the International Day of Friendship? Actually, it isn't a public holiday, but a UN observance (纪念). The UN hopes t{#blank#}1{#/blank#} the friendship between people from different countries will bring peace all over the world. They also want {#blank#}2{#/blank#} (创造)a day to teach the young to know the importance of understanding among different countries.

In recent years, more and more farmers in China have moved to cities to work. Many of them leave their children behind in villages. These children are called left- behind ones. In China, there are more than 60 million left-behind children. It is about a third of the children in the countryside and almost a quarter of the country's children. 40% of them are under age 5. 

Left- behind children often face more problems than others. Safety is a big problem. Many children are too young to look after themselves. It is even sadder that some left- behind children die from drowning(溺水) or traffic accidents. 

Another problem is about psychological(心理的) health. Left-behind children are hungry for love. A report says that more than 16% of them think parents don't love them and over 80% always feel not safe. They are usually oversensitive(过度敏感的), and don't get along with others. 

Their education is also serious. According to a research, about 20% of left- behind children think they are not as good as others. Many are not interested in studying at school. They often don't do the homework and go to school late. Some children even take part in criminal(犯罪的) activities. 

To make left- behind children live a happy and healthy life, our government as well as many people has done a lot. Every one of us should give a hand to them. 

●History of International Plastic Bag Free Day

Although plastic bags are a convenient and widely ased part of our everyday lives, they are also a major cause of environmental pollution. {#blank#}1{#/blank#}. International Plastic Bag Free Day is the best example.

In the 1930s, polyethylene(聚乙烯), the most commonly used plastic, was created by accident. At first, it was used to  make military (军事的) gloves during World War II.

 In the 1960s, the one-piece polyethylene shopping bags was created by a Swedish company. {#blank#}2{#/blank#}.

 In the 1970s, some countries organized some environmental activities to call on people not to reas peastic bags, like Denmark and Ireland.
