①Feelings are difficult to do with, especially for a 4-year-old who doesn't know why his mum won't let him eat another cookie and an 8-year-old who is unhappy that his dad got called back to work and has to leave the playground early.

②For parents, it's very important to begin teaching kids about their feelings as early as possible because their feelings influence(影响) every choice they make. Kids who understand their feelings are less probably act out by getting angry or fighting with others. They can use clear sentences to express their feelings.

③A good way to help kids deal with feelings is to discuss the different feelings how different roles in TV series may feel. When watching TV a parent could stop and ask the kid, "How do you think he feels right now?" Then, discuss the feelings that person may experience and the reasons.

④Doing so also teaches empathy. Young children think the world centers around them, so it can be an experience for them to learn other people have feelings too. When young children can understand other people's feelings, they are less likely to do bad things to them. For example, if a child knows that pushing his friend to the ground may make his friend mad and sad, he will do so less.

⑤Teaching a kid about feelings will help him become mentally（精神上）strong. Kids who have the skills to deal with their feelings will be so confident that they can handle(处理) whatever they meet in their life.

In China, very few children make pocket money(零花钱).1 , in western countries, most kids make pocket money by themselves. They make money in many different 2 .

That was the first time I had been a waiter (服务员). It was harder than I had thought. At first, I was not good at the job, and I nearly spilt (洒出) the soup on a woman's dress. Some people were very unfriendly, and they got angry ( 生气的) with me because of my mistakes. I was so sad and tired that I was almost ready to give up the first afternoon.

A family with three children came to have dinner the next day. The children were asking for things all the time. I tried my best to serve them well. Then the father said to me, "Good job! Thank you very much for helping us." His words were just like a light in the dark. My tiredness suddenly went away. In the following days, I got used to the job little by little, and I had fun working in the restaurant.

When I got the money at last, I felt very happy. The experience taught me that many jobs are not easy. Everyone is great when they are working hard. The most important thing I learned is how much praise (称赞) matters to people. It can give us lots of strength (力量). I think my National Day holiday last year was interesting and meaningful.

 Cici is standing a few steps ahead - her- trainer. Her trainer says," Right." Cici makes a 90- degree turn." Forward." Cici walks toward the、 sidewalk and starts to walk down it. Cici is training to be a guide dog. Guide dogs help people who are blind or disabled.

 But, how do trainers make sure their dogs are right for the work? Jim Alloway is a leader of Pilot- Dogs in Columbus. Before starting to train the puppies(小狗), he and his team test qualities that trainers can't teach. In one test, trainers drop a box on the floor near the puppies. Do they ignore(忽视) the noise? Do they run away? Do they jump, and then look around? Puppies that ignore the noise or run away are not considered good choices. Other tests answer questions like: Is the dog confident? Is the dog safe for their owners? Is the dog happy as a guide dog? More than half of all dogs tested fail. They end up doing some other service work or become family pets.

 Once a puppy passes the tests, trainers begin teaching the dog basic commands(命令) like" come" and" sit". It is not easy. Puppies are still babies. They don't always follow the rules. It takes months of patient practice to teach a puppy to obey a command. Trainers usually motivate dogs in a positive way. When the dog does something correctly, it gets a treat(奖励).

 As the puppies get older, they practice in an indoor facility that has stairs to climb and obstacles(障碍) to go around. After that, trainers add distractions(干扰). They throw toys and make loud noises. This trains the dogs to notice the distractions, and then ignore them if they are not dangerous.

 After practicing inside, trainers take the dogs outside. They learn how to cross streets safely and how to get onto buses. They learn to keep away from common dangers, like steps on the ground, and running cars.

 It can take up to two years for a puppy to become a guide dog. But once it starts to work, it will be the best helpers for its human partners.

China is famous for its beautiful mountains and clean water. The following is a list of some mountains in China. 

Mount Tai

Mount Tai is one of the"Five Great Mountains"and regarded as the most important one. It is a mountain of historical and cultural value. And it has been a place of worship(膜拜) for at least 3, 000 years. 

Mount Huang

Elevation:1864. 8 metres

The area is famous for its scenery , such as sunsets , rocks, pines , hot springs and views of the clouds from above. It is a UNESCO World Heritage Site. It is also a famous place for high quality(高质量的) Chinese tea. 

Mount Gongga

Location:Sichuan Province Elevation:7, 556 metres

It is the highest mountain in Sichuan Province. It is also known to the local people as "King of the Sichuan Mountains". 

Changbai Mountain 

Location:Jilin Province Elevation:2, 749 metres

It is the highest mountain in Northeast China. There is a large crater(火山口)lake, called Heaven Lake on the mountain top.
