The London Eye is a tourist attraction in London. There you can get into a capsule(密封舱) to experience a great view of the city.
I (visit) the London Eye last summer with a friend. My friend didn't know where we were going. I just told him we would go somewhere very special. As we arrived Waterloo Station, he worked out where we were going. He smiled (happy). When we reached the London Eye, there was very long waiting line. In order to save time, he stayed in the line while I went to buy (ticket).
The capsule doesn't completely stop when people get on, you have to get into it quickly. Then the door of the capsule shuts. Wow, wonderful the view was! We took many photos of the view and of (we). It took about half an hour for the capsule to go around.
If you are (interest) in going there, I'd like to give you some advice. (enjoy) the view, go in the daytime. There are night rides, but you won't see a lot. Sometimes at the top of the wheel it can be quite cool even though it's sunny. So ladies, don't forget to take a scarf.
Time Will Tell Some students often ask,"Although I work hard, I still cannot get good {#blank#}1{#/blank#}(score) on tests. Why? How can I enjoy success?" The story of Chinese astronaut Deng Qingming might help to answer {#blank#}2{#/blank#}(they)questions. Deng was chosen as a backup (后备) astronaut {#blank#}3{#/blank#}1998. Since that day he had spent almost all of his time training hard to become {#blank#}4{#/blank#}astronaut. Over the years, Deng has seen his fellow trainees(实习生) go into space one after another. However, he {#blank#}5{#/blank#}(be) always a backup. He often felt upset. Sometimes, he even cried {#blank#}6{#/blank#}(sad). But Deng never gave up.{#blank#}7{#/blank#}he was in his fifties, he kept training hard."I must be ready whenever the opportunity (机会) comes to me,"he once said. Finally, on the night of November 29th, 2022, he and two other astronauts boarded the Shenzhou-15 aircraft and {#blank#}8{#/blank#}(fly) into space. Deng had waited 24 years for this very moment. So, if you want to give up learning something, think about Deng's story. Be{#blank#}9{#/blank#}(patient) and try to improve your methods and keep going. One day, success {#blank#}10{#/blank#}(knock) at your door! But unlike Deng, you probably won't even have to wait 24 years for that moment! |
