She tells Bob her mother has long yellow hair. Bob sees a woman with long yellow hair,{#blank#}9{#/blank#} she isn't the girl's mother. At about 4 o'clock, Bob finds the girl's mother. The mother says thanks to Bob. "It's very kind{#blank#}10{#/blank#} you. Thank you very much." Bob is happy to help Betty.

Tom is a doctor in a hospital. One day, he went to buy some new shoes. Before he left the store, he asked the saleswoman（女售货员）, "How long do you think this pair of shoes will last（持续）?"

"It's hard to say. If you don't use them, the shoes will never wear out（穿坏）,"the saleswoman answered. 

A week later, the saleswoman became ill. She went to the hospital and Tom was her doctor. After Tom gave the woman some medicine, she asked him, "How soon will I get better after taking this medicine?"

"It's hard to say,"Tom answered. "But if you don't take the medicine, you will never get better."

Mike has a new car. One day, it's 5:00 p.m. Mike is driving his new car to see his sister. His sister works in a hospital. But he doesn't know the way. He stops in front of a bank. At this time he sees an old man near his car. Mike comes out of the car and asks the old man, "Hey! Where is the hospital?" The old man doesn't say a word. Mike asks again, "Are you deaf (聋的)? Where is the hospital?"

This time, the old man says, "Yes, I know the way to the hospital. I can go there with you." The old man is now sitting in Mike's new car. Soon they come to a small house and the old man says, "Stop here, please!" Mike stops the car and says, "But this isn't a hospital at all."

"No," says the old man, "This is my house. I want to get home before dinner. Thank you for taking me home. The hospital is behind the bank. So go back to the bank and then turn left. You'll see the hospital. You can't miss it. Next time, never be impolite (不礼貌的)!"

After half an hour, Mike gets to his sister's hospital. It's just behind the bank!

There are many things in life that you will never forget. For me, there is one thing I still remember now.

One year, my family and I were on vacation in southern Mexico. When we were enjoying the beautiful sights near the sea, 1 that was bright silver. onught my eyes.

Today, students learn to do many things at school. But at North Shelby School, the students are doing something1 . They make biscuits (饼干) for dogs.

After knowing that, the school's head teacher Paula Stevens asked all the students to7 them. Now they not only make dog biscuits, but also put them in small bags and sell (卖) them.
