How do you like eggs? There are many ways to prepare them,such as fried eggs, boiled eggs and more. In 2021, more than 86.3million tons of eggs were produced worldwide. Those eggs were eaten by hungry people around the world. Japan tops the lists of egg-eating countries with the average person eating about 320 eggs per year.

It is pleasant to eat eggs, but how much do you know about them? Both the white and the yolk are delicious. They contain about the same amount of protein, too. Egg whites are more popular because each one contains just 15 calories. While egg yolks contain around 55 calories.

It takes a hen between 24 to 26 hours to lay one egg. The Araucana chicken can lay eggs that can be blue or light green. And you can predict the color of an egg based on the color of the chicken's cars.

②The British Library has more than 170 million items. Its collection includes 14 million books, along with a great number of manuscripts(手稿). In the Chinese collection, people can find more than 450 Chinese oracle bones(甲骨) dating back over three thousand years to the Shang Dynasty and the Diamond Sutra, the world's earliest-dated printed book. 

③Recently, sixteen Chinese online novels have become the first Chinese web novels to be included in the British Library. Readers can look up the information of the 16 books on the library's website and borrow printed copies at the library.
