The shadow puppet play(皮影戏) is a very old art in China. It is very popular in China. Many people like it.

Shadow puppets have moving body parts. People usually make shadow puppets with paper(纸) or leather (皮革). These shadow puppets have beautiful shapes. They can be animals, people, plants and so on. They move with the light in a shadow play. People can move them with some sticks. They sing to the music and move the shadow puppets at the same time. We can know many stories, such as Havoc in Heaven(《大闹天宫》) in shadow puppet plays.

Now, many students also like shadow puppet plays. They like interesting stories, such as The Fox and the Tiger. It's a story about a fox. The fox uses the tiger's power(势力) to scare away(吓跑) other animals.

I live in the city(城市). It is big and beautiful. In the city, there are many people and tall buildings. There is a park near my home. On the weekend, I often draw cartoons there. There aren't any rivers or hills. I like living here. My favourite thing is reading books in the libraries.

I live in the village. It is small and quiet. There are many houses here. We have a farm beside our house. We can grow plants and raise(喂养) animals. You can't see tall buildings in the village. But you can see a forest. l often pick fruit there. I love my village.
