Welcome to South China Fossil Museum. There are many different kinds of fossils in our museum. First, let me tell you something about fossils. A fossil is a special kind of rock(岩石). Some plants and animals lived many years ago. They died and were buried(被埋)under the ground for a very long time. Finally， these rocks become fossils. Then let me show you some of our fossils. Look at this one in the middle of thehall. It is a fossil of a dinosaur(恐龙). Dinosaurs lived on land before but now we can't see them anymore. Look at that one. It is a fossil of a fish. It lived in the water back then. But now it is in the museum. Can you see the fossil of a leaf? It was soft and green before. But now it is brown and hard. The fossil is a good way to study the history of animals and plants. Some animals and plants disappear forever(永远消失), but scientists can learn a lot about them from their fossils. I hope you enjoy your trip in our museum. 

Elephants are very large animals. They eat only plants. Baby elephants drink milk from their mother up to three years. Elephants like to live in groups. Some stay with their family even when they grow up. A family group has two to eight animals. Elephants are very big and heavy, but they are very good swimmers. They are very strong, too. They can do many things with their long trunks(象鼻), they are helpful. 

In the past, there were many elephants, but now there are fewer and fewer(越来越少). People hunt them for their tusks. They use them to make ivory products(象牙制品). In Thailand, people use elephants to carry heavy things, and they also train(训练) them for a show. Many elephants hurt badly or die because of the training. In 2003, there were only about 30, 000 Asian elephants in the world. To protect elephants, we shouldn't buy ivory products. We shouldn't watch elephant shows.

Look! This is my  {#blank#}1{#/blank#}. On  {#blank#}2{#/blank#}, I have science class. On Tuesday, I have two maths classes. On Wednesday, I {#blank#}3{#/blank#}. On Thursday,I go to a {#blank#}4{#/blank#} club. I {#blank#}5{#/blank#} with my mum on {#blank#}6{#/blank#}. I go to a  {#blank#}7{#/blank#} on Saturday. On  {#blank#}8{#/blank#}, I visit my grandma and grandpa.
