Car pool(拼车)

    "Beep, beep," goes the car horn(喇叭).You've got dressed，but you've not had time to eat breakfast. You run out of the front door with your schoolbag, and jump into the waiting car. Inside, your Friends say "hey" as one of their parents drives you to school. {#blank#}1{#/blank#} 

    Car pools are a common way of transportation for many students in the US. You, along with many of your friends, can sit in one car.{#blank#}2{#/blank#} And your parents may take turns to drive you all to school {#blank#}3{#/blank#}  If you're late, you can eat that breakfast you don't have time for at home. If you're behind on your homework. this is your last chance to finish it before class. Some simply add to their sleep time before classes begin.

    Besides walking or cycling to class, car pools are green if you can't take the school bus. Instead of four cars taking four students to school each day, they can all squeeze (挤) into one. {#blank#}4{#/blank#} 

More importantly, car pooling teaches students valuable life lessons not taught in class. It can teach students about being on time. It can also teach them the bad influence of being late. {#blank#}5{#/blank#} 

In our daily life, much plastic package is used just once and then thrown away. According to a new study from the University of California, 9% of this is recycled, 12% is burnt and 79% goes to landfill. And because most plastic doesn't biodegrade（生物降解）, once it's in the ground, it stays there. The study also shows that eight million tons of plastic waste are pouring into the sea every year. {#blank#}1{#/blank#}

Scientists have calculated（计算） the total amount of plastic ever made: 8.3billion tons. That's as heavy as one billion elephants. And almost all, of it has been made in the last 65 years.

You know you're going to need some water to get you through your day. So carry a bottle （or a cup） with you. That will help you avoid plastic bottles. {#blank#}5{#/blank#}

Accept changes in life

"When being with friends, the relationship will get worse if you keep leaving something unsaid instead of communicating with each other positively (积极地)." Franco said. We might be afraid of having arguments. But if we think about it and talk in peace, it can be a sign that you care enough to fix the friendship.

Allow yourself to feel sad

Normally, when a friendship ends, there is a process of feeling sad. Allow yourself to feel those emotions and be patient with yourself. The way society views friendships may make your sadness last longer. When a friendship ends, you are questioned, "Sorry for your loss, but why are you still in a bad mood?" Then you think "Is it wrong to feel sad?" {#blank#}4{#/blank#} Of course, you are upset, which means you love your friend deeply. "And you can't put a timeline on your sadness. Sadness is just a process of feeling emotion over time." Franco said.

Be kind to yourself along the way

It's important to forgive (原谅) yourself for not getting over the loss of a friendship. {#blank#}5{#/blank#} But don't go into a new friendship feeling afraid. "Your understanding of friendship in your brain isn't just colored by this one experience." Franco said.

Smartphone and computer are two important inventions in our daily life. They help us in many ways, but they may also lead to health problems.

Looking at the screen of your smartphone or computer for too long can make your eyes dry. It is not good for your eyesight. To help your eyes stay healthy, you can follow the"20-20-20" rule — after 20 minutes' use of eyes, look at something 20 feet away for20 seconds.

Besides our eyes, other parts of our body could also become worse because of using smartphones. When we write a lot of text messages, we can develop" texting thumbs". It will stop us from holding things well. So we have to exercise our fingers and thumbs from time to time.

Scientists also found that smartphones could also hurt our mind. One of the biggest problems is that using smartphones can influence the way we sleep. Doctors say the screen light stops us from feeling sleepy. So they advise people not to use smartphones for at least one hour before sleeping.

Mental problem also needs our attention. Another serious danger caused by staring at screens is Internet addiction (上瘾). Many people turn to the Internet to keep themselves away from feeling nervous, sad or lonely. Over time, they may start to depend on the Internet and feel worried if they' re not online. One way to stop into trouble like this is to control the time they spend on the Internet.

To use your smartphone or computer safely, make sure you follow the above advice. Also, remember that there is more to enjoy in life than just looking at an electronic screen.

①Now, students and teachers have more chances to use technology(科技) in schools. But how much technology should be used in the classroom?

②The biggest advantage of technology in the classroom today is that information is readily got. Students can simply type （打字）a question and receive a list of websites with useful information. If a teacher wanted to show a short video in a class 20 years ago, the teacher had to keep the part on the video tape first. Videos are much easier to show today, and a teacher can simply find the video on Douyin. In this way, both teachers and students can get large amounts of information quickly.

③Another advantage is the amount of resources（资源）that can help students learn in the classroom. Now, there are apps, videos, games, and online resources that make lessons more interesting and effective（有效的）. Technology can also help students study the same lesson by different methods（方法）.

④With all the advantages that technology brings into the classroom, there are some disadvantages. The biggest disadvantage may be lower quality (质量) of research and student work. Because of so many online resources, it is easier to turn to the Internet for research. Often, it's difficult for a student to choose the right information. Also, with so much research done through the Internet, a student may not even know how to find useful information in the library. Another one is that technology can stop the learner from real learning. A teacher might try to use technology to make a lesson more interesting, but the technology itself can catch students' attention（注意） rather than the lesson. It can also keep students from acting actively in the classroom.

⑤How much technology should be used in the classroom is under discussion. It is sure that technology is here to stay. The best way may be a balance of both technology and traditional learning methods.
