On social media platforms such as Xiaohongshu, we're seeing more posts with the tag lines "I will listen" and "listen to me." A puzzled person may have trouble deciding on where to go on a vacation, which restaurant offers the best seafood or whether Huawei's Mate 60 is a better buy than the iPhone 15. Write a post titled "I will listen" and it's likely that a warm-hearted person will quickly reply with a suggestion.

Now, the problem is, should you follow the advice of a complete stranger? Is his or her advice true or is it just a personal opinion? Opinions, after all, are not facts－they are just personal judgments. Still, it's important to take different voices into consideration.

Whenever I buy something online, I always read the comments ( 评 论 ) posted by the last customers. If there are too many negative comments, I probably won't consider buying it. On the other hand, if all of the comments are unusually positive, my doubtful brain takes over and I think the seller may be using comments to increase the sale of the product.

Apart from online business posts, other "listen-to-me" posts cause a more complex problem. In these posts, people are often giving advice on traps ( 陷 阱 ) and problems that could trouble other people. Personal problems such as relationships, job choices and even mental health are among the most common topics. Their suggestions may be truthful, but they don't necessarily fit in with the special situation of others.

For these big "topics", it's better to talk to friends, families, teachers and professional experts. Those people who are close to you know and care about you and will stay by your side, unlike an online poster you may never hear from again.

The Internet is like a great "shop" for getting and exchanging information. But, as with any shop, let the buyer be more careful.

②AI and machine learning already play a bigger role in everyday life than you might imagine.Health care，banking，video games，every search on the Internet you make...，all are driven by AI.

③AI is going to change almost every field of modern life.Stephen Hawking said，"Success in creating AI would be the biggest event in human history."And Hawking added at once，"Unluckily，it might also be the last，unless we learn how to avoid the risks."

④ ▲  ， especially when you consider some countries are racing to develop AI—enabled autonomous weapons（人工智能自主武器）.It is also going to change and take the place of many human jobs.The same worries also come from the public.According to the survey result from Centre for the Governance of AI，91%of the people （tend to and totally） agree that "AI is a technology that requires careful management" in Europe.

⑤But rather than agreeing with an idea of a helpless future where all human jobs are given over to robots.some people believe AI will make on working lives better.It will improve the work of humans，and new jobs will appear to take the place of the old ones.

⑥What's more，machines become more intelligent and they are able to finish more human tasks.Things which only belong to humans like creativity and critical （批判性的） thinking，will become even more valuable in the future.

⑦Like it or not，AI is here.Maybe changing ourselves and managing it well are the best way out .Just as Benjamin Franklin once said，"When you're finished changing，you're finished."

Do you know World Book Day? It is on April 23rd every 1 . Many countries 2 it. On that day, in the UK, students can 3 books at a special price (价格). There is a discount (折扣) in 4 kinds of books.

In China, we also celebrate World Book Day. Some people are 5 , but they still do a lot of reading and they encourage (鼓励) young people to 6 more books. "Books can't 7 the world, but people can change the world by changing themselves if they often read" they said.

In our school, we celebrate World Book Day, too. We have a Reading Week. The 8 and students read lots of books. Some of 9 are from our homes. We 10 them with each other.

During the summer vacation, some boys came to a tall tree. They wanted to play a game to see who could climb to the top of the tree first. Their mothers sat there, looking at the children. 

David was one of the boys. He was young and short. No one thought he would win the game. When the game started, all of the boys tried to climb as high as they could. They all made it halfway (在中途) up the tree before David got to the top of the tree first in the end. 

His mother was amazed to see it. She asked, "David, how did you get to the top so quickly? "

David said, "The other boys kept looking down as they climbed. When they learned how high they were, they got scared and were afraid of falling down. But I only looked up. When I saw how close I was, I kept climbing. " It's true in life that if we keep moving forward (向前) without looking back, we will get close to our dreams. 

Lake Baikal (贝加尔湖)  is the largest,  deepest freshwater lake in the world.Every winter when the lake freezes over (冻结)  for half the year, 80 -year- old Lyubov skates across the ice wherever she needs to go.

Lyubov has been using the ice to travel around her home for her whole life.As a child, she skated about 2.5 miles each way to school and back.She once fell through the ice and was luckily saved by her classmates.

Lyubov lives alone now in a small house on the bank of Lake Baikal.Her children and five grandchildren don't often visit her because they live five hours away by car.She has to look on a group of dogs, cows and chickens as her friends.Luckily, she has the ice to help her feel free！"For me, ice means being able to go everywhere," the grandmother said.

Every day, she skates half an hour to other villages to do her shopping.With temperatures often reaching -40 ℃  , it' s hard for an old woman to live a normal life.But Lyubov says that her everyday skating enables her to live a long and energetic life. " People keep telling me 1 should slow down, but I just can't , " she said with a smile." I don't have time to be bored; there' s too much work to do."
