How many bicycles do you need in your life? For Chai Lin, the answer is 1,300 and the number is continuing to grow.

Bicycles first came into China in the 19th century. At that time, they were a symbol of having a lot of money. And later they became a common way of transport. When Chai saw some people riding a bicycle, he said,"They were like flying on the streets, and my heart went flying with them."Since then, he dreamed of owning a bike.

However, at that time a bicycle was too expensive for ordinary Chinese. To get enough money sooner, Chai began to sell his pictures in the street. With his own hard work and the help of his family, Chai got his first bike, at the price of 880 yuan, in 1979.

Chai Lin became a businessman years later and he could buy motorbikes and cars. ▲ He began to collect bikes of different brands and ages from around the world in different ways. Up to now, Chai has collected more than 1,300bikes.

With his collection growing, there was no room big enough to keep it. In 2009, with the support of the Gansu provincial government, he spent 200 million yuan building a museum just for exhibiting(展出) his bikes. After 10 years' hard work, the Gansu Sanmu Bicycle Museum in Lanzhou finally opened to the public in January 2019. People can go and enjoy the bikes for free. By 2024, more than two million visitors have been there.

"A large part of my collection is not yet exhibited and has to be kept in other places. I hope to expand (扩大) the museum for my bikes,"he said.

Stefany Bibb is a teacher at a school. She runs the school's Kindness Team. Stefany started the team all by herself. She said, "Our Kindness Team {#blank#}1{#/blank#} made up of students in every grade. Every student can join it {#blank#}2{#/blank#} long as they want to be kind." Students in the Kindness Team often hold the door for others, and welcome other students and teachers every morning by showing pictures with positive(积极的) messages to help other students to remember to be kind. Aniyah, {#blank#}3{#/blank#} student from the Kindness Team, said, "My favorite act of kindness is giving hugs. I like to make people smile because it lights up my world and I know they feel warm inside, {#blank#}4{#/blank#}." "You can also show kindness to your teacher or others {#blank#}5{#/blank#} you're not even at school, and that's enjoyable," said Cox, a fourth-grader who is part of the Kindness Team.

We all enjoy being part of a group — there's no better work than teamwork, right? Actually, I disagree. Teamwork can be hard. In fact, it was so difficult that I left my office job and started working from home on my own. It's much better fit for me, and it has made me think about why teamwork can make our job harder rather than easier.

Personalities(个性) can make teamwork difficult. There is often someone on the team that puts their needs first. The team often goes along with this person whose ideas might not be the best, just the loudest. Just one difficult personality can make teamwork hard. Combine(结合) several challenging personality types and it's even harder.

Not having enough time together can also make teamwork challenging. For example, I was once on a team where we never had enough time to meet as a group. To successfully work as a team, you need time together — and lots of it.

A final reason teamwork is difficult is because there is often no training on how to work on a team. You can't just put people in a room and expect them to work well with each other. You need to build trust with your team members. Think of football players: They aren't just given a ball and told to play. They practice, and they train.

Team can be hard, but working alone has its challenges, too. When my computer doesn't work, I don't have an IT person to turn to. When I have a great idea, I don't have anyone to share it with to see if it really is a great idea. Don't get me wrong — I still like my team of one and enjoy making all of important decisions myself. But now I realize what was wrong with the teamwork I did in the past and how good teamwork could be if done correctly. And that's useful information — because one day I might want to turn ME TEAM into a WE TEAM.

Nowadays, a new method is used to decide who are the top students in school. The best students are those who not only get high marks, but also follow the rules and the behavior standards for middle school students. Here are some of the new rules and standards. 

Tell the truth. Have you ever copied someone else's work in the exams? If you have, don't do it again! That's not something an honest student should do. If you have played online games for two hours in your room, don't tell your parents you were doing homework. 

Learn to be loving and caring. Good students love animals and care for other people. 

Learn to work together with others. It would be more fun when more people work together. Did you quarrel with your teammates when your basketball team lost? Only working together can make your team stronger. You shouldn't only think of yourself. You should also think of others. 

Be open to new ideas. Have you ever thought that people could live on the moon? Perhaps you'll discover Earth Ⅱ someday. Don't look down on new ideas. Everyone's ideas are important. You should welcome them, because new ideas make life better for everyone. 

Use the Internet carefully. The Internet can be very useful for your studies. Some websites on the Internet aren't for kids, so make sure to visit the ones that are good for you. You can use the Websites for fun or homework. Can't you find any good websites for you?

 When I went to the library with my son, I saw your advertisement (广告) in the newspaper. It says if I join your club,I can visit other countries cheaply. I'm interested in it and I think it's a good way to spend a holiday(假期). I can offer(提供) my house here in Munich when I am traveling.

My house is in the center of the town, near an art museum. So it's an excellent place for art lovers. The house is big enough for four or five people to live in and it has everything for a nice holiday. But there is no swimming pool.

 My favorite countries to visit on holiday are English-speaking countries, but France would be a good place for me too. I usually take my holidays between March and June, and this is the time when another member(成员) of your club could use my house. The weather is good in Munich at this time of the year.
