Recently, a study published (发表) in BMC Medicine, found that sitting in front of the TV for a long time was a risk for people's health. 

After scientists used data ( 数据) on 370,000 people, covering 12 years, they found about 9,000 developed

heart disease.  They found people with genes (基因) of heart problems were more likely to develop heart disease.  However, they found that people without such genes watching more than four hours of TV every day were also at the greatest risk of heart disease. People spending 2 to 3 hours a day watching TV had a 6% lower risk.  And those who watched less than an hour had a 16% lower risk.  The scientists of the research team finally found cutting TV watching time to less than an hour a day could prevent 10% of heart disease. 

In life, people who want to watch more TV programs might be the group at a higher risk, for they are easy to spend more time watching TV.  If they have more snacks while watching TV, it might add the risk of putting their hearts in danger.  So, if people want to watch TV longer, standing up and moving the body, or hanging out will work. But limiting their time on TV could be a more useful way to help them avoid possible heart problems in the future. 

When you are busy with your schoolwork, you might find it hard to get enough sleep. Not getting enough sleep is bad for our health. What's more, less sleep could even cause you to have fewer friends.

According to scientists from the University of California, if people don't get enough sleep, they show no interest in others.

The scientists did a small study. Some young people watched videos of people walking towards them. When the person on the video got too "close" to them, they stopped the video. It showed how close they allowed the person to get.

The result showed that people kept the person at 60% further back when they didn't have enough sleep. They felt that their personal space was invaded (入侵). But when they got a good night's sleep, they allowed the person to get much closer to them.

According to the scientists, the less sleep you get, the less you get close to others. In turn, other people may think you aredissociable and stay away from you. This can make you feel lonely and cause you to sleep even less. The situation gets worse.

So if you want to be a more popular person, sleeping well might help. "One night of good sleep makes you feel more outgoing and confident,"one of the scientists said.

Are you an "I" person or an "E" person? People have talked about it a lot online recently. They are part of a popular personality (性格) test called MBTI.

Everyone's result has four letters. "I" and "E" are the first letters. People are either "I", meaning introverted (内向的), or "E", for extroverted (外向的).

But sometimes introverted people can be outgoing, too. For example, an "I" person will hang out with a group of introverted friends. The person may do things a more "extroverted" person would do. For example, he or she may share their thoughts and feelings with others and ask strangers for directions.

I'm one of these kinds of people. Most of the time, I show an interest in new classmates and friends. I talk with them to show I'm friendly. But honestly, I like being alone and staying quiet.

I have to say, the personality test is just for fun. Everyone's personality is different. Don't let the test tell you who you are.

In this case, I was a bad example. I used to be very interested in my friends' MBTI results. I would get upset if their results didn't match the way I see them.

Soon, I think everyone might have a "personality stamp". For example, "P" people don't like to make plans. On the other hand, "J" people are planners and list-makers. My sister is a "P" person. She never plans. But one day, she was happily making a day-to-day travel plan for the holiday.

(be) Shan Hai Jing. It is a special book that tells us about the geography and culture of China before a time called the Qin Dynasty. It is {#blank#}2{#/blank#} (real) like a treasure box. There are many Chinese myths (神话) in it. 

No one knows for sure {#blank#}3{#/blank#} wrote the wonderful book. And the time when it was written is also {#blank#}4{#/blank#} (certain). People once thought mythical figures (人物) wrote it. For a long time, figures like Yu the Great or Boyi {#blank#}5{#/blank#} (think) to be the writer. 

Shan Hai Jing talks about many things. It talks about more than 550 mountains and 300 waterways. There are stories of 400 mythical creatures (神怪异兽), {#blank#}6{#/blank#}. The book has about 31,000 Chinese characters. There are some oldest stories about how the world {#blank#}7{#/blank#} (begin). One story is about the Great Pangu. He created the world. There are also stories about Nu Wa. She repaired the sky. Another story is about a great person—Kua Fu. He tried{#blank#}8{#/blank#} (run) after the sun.
