What time of day can you think most quickly? Are you a morning person?" Or does it take you a few hours to get your brain going? A lot of recent research suggests that we should pay attention to our body clock. It can tell us what time of day we can perform best at.

    Many people work best later in the morning. This is because the body's temperature takes time to rise through the day. Taking a warm shower when you wake up can help your body's temperature rise quickly.

    But everyone's body clock is different and some are special. Morning people will get up early and work better early in the day." Evening people will work later, but work better towards the end of the day.

    Research shows that we're better at some activities at certain times of the day." Physical performance is at its best between 3p. m. and 6p.- m.-,- so it's better to exercise later in the day.

    Between noon and'4p. m. , people begin to pay less attention. This is because we think less quickly after, a big meal. Research also shows we become sleepy around 2 p.m. This is why people in Spain take a short sleep in early afternoon.

    Finally'it is best to eat when we' re active. This allows our body to burn calories (卡路里) better and stops our blood sugar levels from getting too high.

Daniel Olin was 11 years old when his parents moved to Canada. He liked his new school and made friends there，but then things at home started to change. His mum and dad began to argue and the arguments got worse and worse until one day，Daniel's mum left. With his father working long hours，to run away. And that's what he did. 

Very early one terribly cold morning when the snow was deep on the ground，he packed a bag with some clothes，some chocolate and a map of Canada and set off to a forest. He ran and ran until he could hardly breathe. His feet were heavy with the snow but he still walked on through deep snow, not even watching where he was going.

Then，disaster struck. A rock hidden by the deep snow caught his feet and Daniel fell to the ground. He had broken the bone. He was very cold and was starting to feel tired，but he knew that if he fell asleep in the snow, he would certainly die from the cold.

A tree shook ahead. From within the branches（树枝），a pair of yellow eyes watched Daniel. The puma had been following him. A puma is a large wild cat with claws that could tear（撕开） Daniel into pieces. But instead of moving in for the kill，arms and legs. Daniel was too frightened to move，but soon the warmth of the animal reached Daniel and he began to feel better. From time to time（口鼻） against Daniel and rocked his head gently. Clearly，the puma knew that Daniel must not fall asleep. This animal should have been a real danger to Daniel and yet the boy began to feel safe. 

They remained like that for several hours until Daniel and the puma heard voices. The rescue （援救） team had found them. 

These days, we easily feel stressed as the work we need to do grows more and more. It's important to know {#blank#}1{#/blank#} to solve problems and find ways to relax. 

First, we should try organizing our problems from most important to least important as well as most urgent(紧急的)to least urgent. If some problems are both important and urgent, do those things first. Once those are done, work on things {#blank#}2{#/blank#} are important but not urgent. After that, we can work on problems that are less important. In this way we can clearly know what to do first and not worrying about the rest, {#blank#}3{#/blank#} we might easily feel stressed out with so much work to do. 

Sometimes we are still under pressure after sorting out(分类)our work. That's OK. We can try to add some exercise to our weekly plan. It doesn't need to go on a big trip for several hours, although that surely helps. It could be something as small as walking around the neighborhood for ten to twenty {#blank#}4{#/blank#}.

Finally, we can try meditation(冥想). Again, it can be a simple thing. Just set ten to twenty minutes with an alarm, sit straight, close our eyes, and focus only on breathing, If other thoughts come up, accept that they are there and let them fly away on their own. 

By trying these steps, we will feel {#blank#}5{#/blank#} and peaceful when finishing all of the work.
