Although half a century has passed, Shao Guohua never forgot the film ticket his teacher gave him that warmed his heart when he was a boy. Shao entered a primary school in Zigong, SichuanProvince, in 1960. Back then, sports and watching movies were the students' favorite times.

Once, the school organized a trip to the movies for the students, and many of Shao's classmates signed up(报名)for it. But the boy had no money to buy 0. 05-yuan ticket. When his classmates lined up to enter the movie theater, the boy stood alone outside. Then Shao's Chinese teacher Mo Xunru saw him and bought a ticket for him.He can't remember what movie it was, but Shao never stopped being thankful to his teacher.

"Ms. Mo made twenty or thirty yuan a month back then, so a 0.05-yuan ticket may not be a big deal for her. But for me, it moved me deeply," said 63-year-old Shao.

After graduating( 毕 业 ) from primary school, Shao moved to another city along with his parents. In the following years, he tried to find his former(以前的)teachers and classmates, but failed. It wasn't until this year that Shao Guohua visited his teacher, Mo Xunru after 50 years." The reunion ( 重 聚 ) was emotional, " said Shao, who is over sixty himself now. " The 89-year-old Mo did not hear well anymore and seemed to not know me at first sight, but she was still as kind as she used to be." Shao left 1, 000 yuan to his teacher as well as a letter which reads:

"Dear Ms. Mo, wish you good health. Your student: Shao Guohua."

I went to Grand Canyon (大峡谷) National Park in July 2012 for the firsttime and I knew I wanted to work there as a park ranger(管理员). Park rangers protect the park's animals, plants, land, buildings, andpeople.

Now, as a park ranger forGrand Canyon National Park, I share the science, history and beauty of this parkwith thousands of visitors from around the world.

National parks are like outdoormuseums. Park rangers have all kinds of jobs, depending on where they work and whatthey studied during college. I teach school field trips(实地考察), work at visitor centers and helppeople stay safe during their visit.

My favorite part of my jobis showing children their first look at the Grand Canyon during school field trips.Children are often amazed at the canyon's size and colors. Sometimes, they thinkit looks like a painting.

Being a park ranger requiresa lot of energy. I walk several miles and talk with hundreds of people each day.Park rangers must enjoy working with people and speaking in front of groups. Nearly5 million people visit Grand Canyon National Park every year.

Park rangers must also beprepared for any situation. Recently, I broke a traffic jam(堵塞). It was caused by a huge elk(麋鹿)standing in the road. Elks can become dangerous when they get scared,so I asked visitors to stop their cars and take pictures from far away. Believeit or not, I also help protect people from monkeys. It is not allowed to feed animalsin national parks. But sometimes, visitors try to feed monkeys.

Mark and Bert are good friends for most of their lives. A few years ago, when Mark was nine, he developed a serious disease (疾病).The disease took away the boy's eyesight, part of his hearing and his ability to play his favourite sport. However, throughout the years, Bert was still his closest friend. They shared their love of Australian football and enjoyed talking about the Sydney Swans, their favourite team.

Two weeks ago, I took my seat at Sydney Cricket Ground to watch the Swans. The old stadium was full of fans. Shortly into the second quarter(一节), I heard someone describing the match. It was Bert who was bringing the match to life. I turned and saw him. Mark was sitting next to him.

Although he could not see any more, Mark still loved the Swans very much. Usually, he went to the stadium and listened to the match on the radio. However, in the second quarter of that match, the radio broke down. That was when his friend Bert came in.

I hardly paid attention to the Swans and Buddy, the team's star player. Instead, I was listening to Bert and Mark. "What's happening now?" Mark asked. "Don't worry, Mark," Bert said. "Okay. Buddy's got it. Will he go for it? He's going for it! It's his tenth goal! Buddy is on fire!"Mark listened carefully. He was lost in the magic of Australian football and his friend brought the match to life. And I was really moved by this heart-warming moment.
