Hi,
……

"Teenager" means people from 13 to 19 years old. Although they are young, they have to make many important choices by themselves. They need to think about questions like these: Can I get into a university? {#blank#}1{#/blank#} However, other people also influence (影响) their choices (选择).
Who influences teenagers? It depends on the kind of choice. When teenagers buy things, friends are the most important influence. This is especially true for clothes and music. TV shows, advertisements and parents also influence teenagers. {#blank#}2{#/blank#} Some teenagers say it's best to regard (把……看成) both parents and friends as influences. James, a 17-year-old boy says, "Parents are really important because they can tell you what is right and wrong." {#blank#}3{#/blank#} As a girl said, "If our parents don't let us make our own choices, maybe in the future we won't know how to do it." {#blank#}4{#/blank#} Because friends sometimes know more about them than their parents do.
Do you depend on parents or others when you don't know what to do and how to do it? {#blank#}5{#/blank#} Your future is in your hand.
A. What kind of jobs do I want? B. Teenagers should make more friends. C. They also need listen to parents' opinions. D. And they feel friends can often be a big help. E. About more serious things, parents are probably the most important influence. |

Step 2: Look for Answers Critical thinkers search for answers. They make use of all possible tools or interview people for information. Then they analyze (分析) the information with an open mind. They compare and decide what the best answers are. | |
Step 3: … After critical thinkers get new ideas to work out problems, they share these ideas with their teammates and get support from them. During communication with others, better ideas often come up. |
