Bill is a poor （穷的） shoemaker and Carl is a rich （富的） business-man. They live in the same building. Bill lives on the 1st floor and- Carl lives on the 2^nd floor.

Bill likes singing very much. He always sings loudly and happily when making shoes. Carl doesn't like singing, so he is angry and says, "Bill, I'll give you a bag of gold （黄金） every day if you stop singing.

"Well, good." says the shoemaker.

Bill stops singing and gets a bag of gold every day. He becomes very rich. But he feels unhappy and gets ill.

One day, Bill comes to Carl's home with all his gold. He says to Carl, "Take your gold back （拿回去）. I can't stop singing. It is my life."

From then on, when Bill makes shoes, he sings loudly and happily again.

My name is Jack. I am an English boy. Now I study in China. I usually have three classes in the morning and three in the afternoon. But on Monday afternoon, we only have two classes. So I often play basketball with my friends after school. In my free time, I like singing, swimming and playing basketball. Sometimes I like playing computer games. What about you?

After class he is our friend. So we all like him.

After school，there are lots of fun sports.Basketball is popular all over the world.But other sports are more unique（独特的）. 

In the U.S.A.，playing baseball is an interesting sport for many kids.Baseball is a bat and ball game between two teams.There are usually nine players in each team.It's popular in Japan，too.They often play it after class. 

There is also American football.It is unique in the U.S.A.and Canada.The sport looks like rugby.Players can carry，throw，or kick the ball.After that，they try to get a goal.

Which sport do you like？

 My mother told me that I liked kicking （踢）a ball around when I was only four years old.Then，when I was a little girl，I played volleyball with other young girls in the neighbourhood.Since then，playing volleyball has become my hobby.

 Playing volleyball helps me to relax （放松）.If the weather is nice，I like to play with my friends after doing our homework.And I usually watch volleyball games on TV with my parents after supper.Also，when we travel to the beach，we usually play volleyball together there.

 What's more，playing volleyball helps me make a lot of friends.And after playing，we like to talk about our favourite stars，movies and songs.We also help each other with our studies.

 Now I'm trying to set up a team for the summer competition.I believe that a lot of fun is waiting for me.
