It was a Sunday morning. Helen and Jim were taking a walk on a beach. It was a quiet beach and there were no other people. They felt very relaxed and happy, walking in the sunshine.

Then Jim saw a bottle (瓶子) on the beach. He picked it up and found something in it. He took it out. Helen ran to look and said, "Wow! A treasure (宝藏) map! Let's follow it." 

"OK. We are here and the treasure is here. Let's go! I'll read," said Jim.

"Walk north 100 meters. Stop at a big tree. Turn right and then go straight. Stop when you get to the river. Cross the bridge. Turn left and walk along the river. Stop in front of a big rock (岩石). The treasure is behind the big rock."

"Here!" Jim said excitedly.

"There is a box!" said Helen. In the box was a very old note (便条).

Sorry. Ihad totake mytreasure away, becauseI needed to buy a new boat.

Jim and Helen were disappointed and had to go back.

Once, there was a small and poor village near the sea. Houses there were made of stone and wood. They were very 1 and could fall down（倒塌） at any time. A young man, named Harriet, lived in a wooden house, with his old 2 . Harriet dreamed of moving to a big city, but 3 never visited any of them.

His friends told him some exciting stories during their stay in cities. This made Harriet bored all summer long 4 he couldn't even go to the nearest city.

There is a small library near my home. Every weekend, my sister  {#blank#}10{#/blank#} going there to read books.

Christmas is coming! I've been busy making films on the mountains of Corrie, so I haven't had a chance 1 the festival. 

I am a director and also a mother of two lovely girls. Things have been 2 crazy that I am unable to arrange the time to attend my little daughter Polly's school concert this week. 

I've not even bad time to start 3 Christmas shopping, so I'm going to set aside some time next week to hit the toy shops. It's easy 4 a gift for Polly because she's an 5 girl who loves things like dolls, but choosing gifts for Emilie, the elder kid, is much 6 . The only gift that she wants is a little dog, 7 I'm not sure whether I'm going to give her one or not. There 8 no time to visit her friends at weekends if she has a dog to look after. 

 9 the evening of December 20, I 10 to take part in a charity event for Cardiac（心脏病）Risk in The Young. Its aim is to raise some money to put scanners（扫描设备）into schools so that teenagers 11 be tested for potential heart problems. It touches my heart a lot because my best friend Stephen 12 of a heart attack a few years ago. On the charity, I also add an item-a lovely dog. I think it will be 13 good gift for my girl and I hope she can take good care of it.
