Sarah is my good friend. She is an American girl. She is ten years old. She' s tall and thin. She has long orange hair, big eyes, a small nose and a small mouth. She is very pretty （漂亮的）. She likes Chinese food （食物）. She is cute. We all like her.

What is it like being an actress? Many people think it must be wonderful because we travel to exciting places, wear beautiful clothes and make a lot of money. This is only one aspect of our life though. We also work very hard.

I played a country girl in my last movie.I had to live in a small village with other actresses for part of the winter. It was really hard for meas I grew up in a city. To help me play a country girl better, I cooked for myself and other people every day. I even walked a few miles sometimes to get water, as there was none in the house. I wanted to understand how a real village girl lived. I thought it was fun at first. I felt different after a week or two. I wore some beautiful traditional clothes, but they were not thick enough. I was very cold but I had to keep smiling all the time. One day, I couldn't do it any longer and I suddenly started crying, "Great." said the director. "I like it. She is crying with true feelings." I called my mum to tell her about it but my mobile phone wouldn't work in the village.

I think it is worth doing all this. I like it when people tell me they enjoy my plays and ask me to sign a picture. It is also fun to be someone else for a while. I'm very lucky to be an actress.

Every year students in other countries learn Chinese. Some of these students are children, and others are adults. Some learn at school, and others learn by themselves. 

Sally is a British girl. Her classmates and she learns Chinese at school three times a week. Chinese is one of their school subjects. Sally learns Chinese very hard, so her, Chinese is better than her classmates. 

Last month, Sally had a trip in Beijing with her family. She likes this city very much. She went to the Great wall and the Summer Palace. They took lots of beautiful pictures. During the holiday, Sally made a friend with a Chinese girl Xiaoling. They become good friends. After Sally went back to England, she always talks to Xiaoling by email. 

Fiona is very busy at school. She has no chance to spend time with her friends.

On National Friendship Day, everyone should make gifts for their best friends in class. But Fiona gets no present at last. She is very sad.

When she goes back home, her mum says." If you really want true friends, you have to give them time and affection（感情）."

From then on, she often studies Chinese and cooks Chinese food with Sue. She always does word puzzles with Linda. Sometimes she goes hiking with Jill.

She is very happy. She has many friends now.

Hi, I'm John. Look! This is my classroom. It' s big and nice. We have three new fans and four new lights in the classroom. The teacher's desk is new, too. A computer is near it. The picture is on the wall and it is near the window. Where is my desk? Look there. That is my desk. Some books and a new pencil box are on it. I have two good friends. Danny is my new friend. He is from the UK. He's 11 years old. He's strong and friendly. He has big eyes and short hair. He likes Chinese very much. Ann is tall and thin. She's from Canada. She has a yellow hat and blue shoes. She has orange glasses, too.

I'm Mike. Last month, I had a long holiday with my family. We went to Kunming on July 7th. On the first day, we stayed in the hotel and had a rest. On the second day, we climbed mountains and learned folk dances(民族舞蹈). On the third day, we went to a farm. We rode horses and ate fresh fish from the lake. On the fourth day, we went swimming. Then we ate good food. On the fifth day, we went shopping and bought some folk clothes. My mother liked them very much. On the sixth day, we prepared(准备)to go back home. We had a good time.
