There was a talent show（才艺展示）at school last month.All the children were very happy about it，but Dongdong was not.He didn't know what to do for the show.Some children wanted to help him. 

Yanyan is good at dancing.She taught Dongdong to dance.Fangfang taught him to sing.But singing and dancing are so difficult for Dongdong. 

When Dongdong came back home in the evening.he said to his mother，"I can't sing.I can't dance.I can't do anything well."He was so sad."Of course you can，"said his mother."You just need to find out your talent."Dongdong thought and thought，then he had a good idea. 

On the day for the talent show，everyone did a good job.Baobao played the violin.Tingting did magic tricks.It's time for Dongdong.He sat on the chair，opened a book and read aloud.Everyone listened carefully.He has a beautiful voice. 

When Dongdong closed the book，all the children stood up and gave him a big hand."Wonderful!What a great talent you have!"said Yanyan.

Today is Saturday. We don't go to school. Mike and his friends go to the park in the morning. There are many people in the park. There is a big lake. There are many green trees and flowers near the lake. Some ducks are swimming on the lake. You can see many fish in the lake, too. Mike and his friends play games on the grass. Some of them watch the insects（昆虫） under the tree. Then they have lunch under a big tree. They take a lot of food to eat, such as：bread, sandwiches, hamburgers, fruits and Coke. After lunch, they sleep on the grass and listen to music. They are all happy.

This is a street crossing.There are traffic lights at each corner（拐角）.Drivers must watch the lights carefully. 

When there is a green light, the cars may go on.When there is a red light, the cars must stop. They must wait until the red light changes into green. Then they can go on. 

Some people are colour-blind（色盲）, and they can't see the differences between red and green. These people mustn't drive, or there will be an accident（事故）. We must keep our streets safe.

Uncle Wang works in a book shop in the middle of the city. The shop is not far(远) from his home. It is about one kilometre(公里) away. So Uncle Wang seldom(很少) goes to work by bus. He usually goes there by bike, sometimes on foot. It takes(花费) him twenty minutes to get there by bike and forty minutes on foot. His work starts at half past eight in the morning and finishes at a quarter to five in the afternoon.

Last Monday, his bike was broken(坏了). He wanted to walk there. He had breakfast at home. He left(离开) home at ten to eight and he walked to work twenty minutes earlier(更早).
