My father and I used to climb the mountain near my house. Walking together, my father and I used to have a lot of conversations (对话) through which I learned lessons from his experiences. He always told me, "You should have goals (目标) like climbing the mountain." Without the mountain-climbing that we both enjoyed, we couldn't have enough time to spend together because my father was very busy. I really got a lot from mountain-climbing. It gave me time to talk with my father and to be in deep thought as well as develop my patience (耐心). 

Once we climbed a very high mountain. It was so challenging (挑战的) for me because I was only ten years old. During the first few hours of climbing, I enjoyed the flowers and trees, and the birds' singing, but as time passed, I got a pain in both of my legs. I wanted to quit climbing. In fact, I hated it at that mountain, but my father said to me, "You can always see a beautiful sky at the top of the mountain, but you can't see it before you reach the top. Only there at the top, can you see all of the nice things, just like in life."

At that time, I was too young to understand his words. But later after that, I got new hope and confidence. I found myself standing at the top of the sky, which was as clear as crystal(水晶的).

Bella's father is John. He does many things every day. On Monday evening, he likes staying with his friends. He always plays table tennis. On Wednesday afternoon, he runs with friends in the running club. On Friday morning, he always swims. John likes playing sport because it's good for his health(健康). On Saturday morning, John cleans the house. He goes to the supermarket to buy some food and drinks for Bella on Sunday. 

I'm Diana. I want to join the club. I'm outgoing and friendly. I am good at playing the pipa. I have a pipa class on Saturdays. I can speak English and draw cartoons. And I'm also interested in cooking. I often help my mum cook Chinese food. I can play basketball, but I can't do any kung fu. I want to learn it. Can you teach me? What can you do?

Mrs White is our English teacher. She is like a superwoman in our hearts. We all love and thank her very much. She is thin and not tall. And she's very hard-working. She often helps students with both study and life. She is happy when she stays    with her students.

At home, she is not only my mother but also my best friend. When she comes home after work, she helps me with my homework. I know she is tired (疲劳的), but she always gives me a smile.

Mrs White is my role model (榜样)! She's a helpful teacher and a wonderful mother. I love her very much! And I want to be like her when I grow up!

I'm Mike. Last month, I had a long holiday with my family. We went to Kunming on July 7th. On the first day, we stayed in the hotel and had a rest. On the second day, we climbed mountains and learned folk dances(民族舞蹈). On the third day, we went to a farm. We rode horses and ate fresh fish from the lake. On the fourth day, we went swimming. Then we ate good food. On the fifth day, we went shopping and bought some folk clothes. My mother liked them very much. On the sixth day, we prepared(准备)to go back home. We had a good time.
