    Last Saturday, my family took a train trip to Guangzhou. The train was crowd and slow, but the scenery were just great! On the day we arrive, we visited several famous buildings. After that we had lunch in an Indian restaurant, which they didn't use plates! We served the food on fresh leaves, and we ate with our hands. In the afternoon, we went for walk in the gardens with a great many of trees and flowers I'd never seen. Then, we did some shoppings in the town centre.     Tom and David are all my nephews. They are of same age. Tom loves reading while David doesn't. Why? It has something to do with what they were brought up.     Jane Eyre is a world-famous storybook, which is very popular to middle school students. The main character Jane is one of my favorite heroine. The book tells us not only about her hard life and about her efforts to gain her happiness. It were her perseverance and determination which helped her to get what she deserved at last.     Nowadays, people argue a lot about if or not to celebrate western festivals, as western festivals are becoming more and more popular in China, especial among young people. They said they celebrate western festivals because they are exciting than Chinese festivals. In my opinion, western festivals are basing on the cultural traditions of the western country, and I see no reason why we should celebrate their festivals. We are Chinese, and we mustn't forget our cultural roots. In fact, Chinese cultural traditions are really great, but we should take pride in it. On a word, I am prefer Chinese festivals.
