    Ten years ago, I was lucky enough to have an opportunity to study in England as a international student. I went to one of the most famous school there. On the first day, I was such nervous that I felt my heart beaten wildly. I was afraid to express to myself, because I have never communicated with strangers in English before. Therefore, my teacher said I had to introduce me in front of the class. As soon as the first word flew out my mouth, I felt relaxing immediately. I was happy I finally made it. It's a special day, which I will never forget.

    Last Friday，our class have a discussion about which to do during the coming holiday．Some are in favor of staying at home．They think it's both convenience and comfortable．Beside，they can save money for other purpose．But they will lose the chance of getting to know outside world．Others，on the other hand，would rather to go traveling since it can increase our knowledge．Therefore，they will spend more money and meet some difficulties while traveling．

    One day father and mother was waiting at the table for their sons to have lunch. She waited and waited but their son didn't show up. Mother was sent father to look for their son in his bedroom. To his surprised, their son was lying on his stomach on the floor, totally losing in a book. Father orders their son to leave for food and he himself never returned to the table. Having waited impatient, mother sent their son back to look for his father, only to find that his father was doing exactly same as he had done on the floor.

    In order to enrich our school life and promote our English learning, the English teachers of Grade II organized an English Talent show last Friday afternoon. Despite of the fact that we were busy with our study, we took active part in it.

    The show lasted more than two hours and it was a great success. Different forms of English programs ranged from singing, dancing, short plays, musical plays to English dubbing performances were displayed, which offers us a great visual feast. There were lots of excitement and cheers during the whole process. That impressed us most was the play Snow White. This activity was warmly welcomed by we students, all of which considered it helped to arouse our learning interest. It is suggested that such activities could be held more regular so that we can really combine learning with joy and develop our learning potential.

    Travelling abroad, you should follow the customs of the country you were visiting. When you are invited, that is good manners to refuse or accept the invitation either by writing and by telephoning. If you go to a party, it is polite to arrive on the time. It is good manners to shake hands with our host. You can take a present if you like, possible a bottle of wine, a box of chocolates or any flowers. However, it is not bad manners to take nothing. It is not polite stay too late after the other guests have gone. Also, it has suggested to write or telephone a day or two late to thank your host.
