Recently, I've found many old photos of Mom, Dad, David, me and my first dog Coco. They meant a lot to me. I wondered how to keep them forever. Luckily, my son used a new app to clear up and improve some of the old photos. Looking at them brought back so many loving and happy memories. I even used one as my computer screen saver(屏保).

It is a picture of me sitting in my favorite chair,across from the wood stove(炉子) next to a bookcase full of old books. I am wearing my special Snoopy shirt and hugging Coco. There is a big smile on my face and a joyful shining light in my eyes. It was how I spent a lot of my winter afternoons as a girl, hugging Coco and reading an old book.

It is surprising how 60 years later that girl still lives inside of me. I still love comfortable chairs, warm stoves, Snoopy clothes, hugging dogs and reading books on cold winter days. But when I look in the mirror now, all I see is a thin face, grey hair, and lots of wrinkles(皱纹). The only thing that hasn't completely changed is the eyes. They are hiding behind glasses now and full of wisdom(智慧) given by ages. But they still have that same joyful shining light.

Looking at the little girl smiling at me from the computer screen and that 66-year-old woman looking back at me in the mirror can be a little bit strange at times. They look so different. However, they are both me. We can't stop getting older, but we can remain both joyful and young at heart forever.

Without classes and exams, the summer vacation is an ideal time for Australian kids. For me, Nancy, it means much more than not going to school. It is also a golden chance to spend time with my family because I have little time with them during the school year.

Last summer vacation I travelled with my family to the Hawkes bury River in Western Sydney. It was one of the most unforgettable summer vacations in my life.

Staying by the river helps us escape from the hot weather and noise of the city. Every day, my family and I got up early to go swimming in the cool water. In the morning, we all took part in a big game. We enjoyed water— skiing, wakeboarding(尾波滑水) and other activities. These activities made our family feel closer.

In the warm afternoon, we peacefully read books on hammocks hung among trees by the river. The days always ended with a campfire. We sat around the fire, talking and laughing.

The river is a perfect place for people to forget about all the stresses(压力) of life and simply enjoy the moment. To me, it is the best place to spend time together with my family. I can't help thinking about those days again and again although so many months has passed.

There are four people (人) in the family. The girl {#blank#}2{#/blank#} Cindy. Her last name is Green. She is 12 years old. Who is this {#blank#}3{#/blank#}? Oh, he is Cindy's brother, Mike. They are in NO. 1 Middle School. Can you see that man (男人)? He is Cindy and Mike's father. {#blank#}4{#/blank#} name is Jim Green. He is a Chinese teacher. And Cindy's mother is in a red jacket. 

Mike and Cindy are my {#blank#}5{#/blank#}. I like their family very much. 

With the "double reduction" policy ("双减"政策) coming out, students start a new school life. 

At 7:00, Lucy has an egg, some bread and milk for breakfast {#blank#}1{#/blank#}home, and then she goes to school by bike. The first class {#blank#}2{#/blank#} at 8:00. Lucy has four classes in the morning, and {#blank#}3{#/blank#} is her favourite subject. At 11:45, she has lunch at school. The food is {#blank#}4{#/blank#} and healthy. After that, she and her classmates take a break in the classroom for half {#blank#}5{#/blank#} hour. In the afternoon, she {#blank#}6{#/blank#} only two classes. After classes, students in Lucy's school can have many {#blank#}7{#/blank#}after-school activities. Lucy likes {#blank#}8{#/blank#}basketball in the sports club. 

She thinks students {#blank#}9{#/blank#} learn much in these clubs. After school, they have little homework and more free time. Lucy says {#blank#}10{#/blank#}, "Now, we are happy every day because of the new policy. "
