At the age of 16, Einstein always played with a group of naughty kids. He was so busy playing, so he didn't study enough and failed his final exam.

The traditional Chinese lunar calendar divides the year into 24 solar terms (节气). It starts from the beginning of Spring and ends with the Greater Cold, moving in cycles. It is still useful today to guide people's lives through special foods, cultural ceremonies and even healthy living tips.

Frost's Descent (霜降), the 18th solar term of the year, is the last solar term of autumn. The weather becomes much colder than before and frost begins. The apple is one kind of recommended (推荐的) fruit during Frost's Descent. There are many sayings about apples ' benefits (益处) in China, such as "Eat an apple after meals. Even old men can be as strong as young men."

Minor Cold (小寒) is the 23rd one. For most areas of China, it marks the start of the coldest days of the year and people always start preparing for the Lunar New Year. According to traditional Chinese medicine thoughts, people need to eat food that has more yang (阳) energy to prevent cold from harming their bodies. Another important traditional food for Minor Cold is Laba porridge (腊八粥).

Everyone faces difficulties in their life. Daniel Kish was born with a special eye illness and lost his eyesight when he was only 14 months old. 

Soon after, however, he started to do an amazing thing. He learned to make clicks (咔哒声) with sonar (声呐) to help him move around. Kish now moves about using sonar. He is so good at it that he can ride a bicycle by himself on public roads. And he started the organization World Access for the Blind (WAFTB) in 2000, teaching others how to use sonar. In the interview with National Geographic, he explains how the sonar works. 

"When I make a click sound, it produces sound waves. These waves reflect (反射) off surfaces around and return to my ears. My brain then deals with the sound and turns it into pictures in my mind. Each click is like a camera flash, which helps me make a 3-D picture of my surroundings for hundreds of feet. It's like having a conversation with the environment. "

Kish feels it is exciting to ride a bike using sonar, although he needs to click twice a sound, much more than he usually does. "It may sound a bit dangerous to move around the world in this way, " he says. "But most people in the world live in fear of things that they imagine. I love hiking and mountain-biking. I go almost everywhere. And I've never had an accident and hurt myself. "

He is happy to be able to help more blind children to improve their life. "We've served over 10, 000 students in nearly 40 countries, " he tells the reporter. "Many students are surprised how quickly results come. Seeing isn't in the eyes. It's in the mind. "

The Double Third Festival, also ancient Shangsi Festival is an ancient Chinese festival. It comes on the third day of the third lunar month, so It's not on the same day every year. The day is said to be the birthday of Yellow Emperor （Huangdi）. It didn't have a fixed date until the Wei and Jin dynasties（朝代）.

In the Eastern Jin Dynasty, people often bath in the river on that day to wash away bad luck. Wang Xizhi wrote in his Lantingji Xu- about how people took a bath and wrote poems while drinking. In the Tang Dynasty, people enjoyed drinks and sightseeing. In the Ming and Qing dynasties, people did activities like throwing stones, going for long walks in the country and listening to music.

In modern times, people in the southern parts of China mainly celebrate the festival. For the Zhuang people in Guangxi, they can enjoy a two or three- day holiday. And it is a festival for young people to sing songs and find their true love. Bamboo dancing is another important actıvıty for them. For the Li and Miao people in Hainan, it is a day for remembering ancestors （祖先）. For the Han people, it is a time to go outside to enjoy flowers and cook eggs with jicai. The Han people believe the wild vegetable and the special eggs are of great benefit to human health. In some areas, there are dragon boat races and other cultural performances to celebrate this lucky day.

All in all, the Double Third Festival is a time for people to feel nature, share traditions, and celebrate the arrival of spring with joy.
