I was small for my age. I was shy and sometimes it was hard for me to make friends with others. However, learning came fairly (相当地) easy for me. I was the best in most of my classes, but PE class was my nightmare (噩梦) and made me feel that I was not as good as the others. Miss Forsythe was our PE teacher. She was young and energetic. Everyone liked her. She said that we all had to come to her classes. No one could hide from Miss Forsythe!

    One day she told me that she wanted me to play a game with another girl in a PE show. I was rather worried that I wouldn't do a good job as she explained her idea, but she was excited. With her encouragement, I had no choice but to agree.

    It was a "boy meets girl" game. I played the boy and my classmate, Margaret Ann. played the girl. We were dressed in evening clothes and danced around the floor. According to Miss Forsythe. I had to pick up Margaret Ann when we finished the dance. Since I was not strong enough to pick the tallest girl up, it was she who picked me up. I suddenly felt ten feet tall! It was a huge success and everybody applauded (鼓掌) for our excellent performance. What a wonderful ending! Afterwards. I smiled confidently. Miss Forsythe's understanding and willingness to create a place for me in her show (which certainly did not need me) gave me some much needed confidence. She was and always will be my favorite teacher.

There are seven days in a week. Cindy's favorite day is Friday. Because there is her favorite class on Friday and she doesn't need to go to school the next day. At 7:30 on Friday morning, she has her first class. It is an English lesson. She likes English. It's very easy for her. At 8:25 a. m, she has a Chinese lesson. She isn't good at it. Then she has math at 9:50 a. m. She thinks math is difficult. Next she has history at 10:35 a. m. This is her favorite class. She can learn about the past. 

In the afternoon, she has P. E. at 2:00 p. m. Her P. E. teacher is strong and tall. He is friendly. Students often play football in P. E. class. Then she has music at 3:50 p. m. Music is interesting. She and her classmates all like it. After music class, she has a class meeting. She and her classmates talk about many things in the meeting. School is over at 4:30 p. m. What a happy Friday!

Sam hates doing chores. But he has to do many chores every day. Last weekend, he {#blank#}1{#/blank#}( take) the dog for a walk. And he had to wash his {#blank#}2{#/blank#}( father) car. He also cleaned his own room and did the {#blank#}3{#/blank#}( dish). Sam felt really terrible. Sometimes he has to look {#blank#}4{#/blank#} his little sister at home. He even has to cook for {#blank#}5{#/blank#}( she) when his parents are busy.

Sam has a foreign friend at school. His name is Peter. {#blank#}6{#/blank#}( do) chores in Peter's family is very different. In his house, only the girls do chores, such as sweeping the floor and taking {#blank#}7{#/blank#} the rubbish. His sisters make all the beds and clean all the rooms. Sam thinks Peter is very {#blank#}8{#/blank#}( luck) because he doesn't need to do the boring chores.

Sam is good at science. He wants to be a {#blank#}9{#/blank#}( science) when he grows up. He wants to make a robot to do the chores in the future. Then everyone will be happy. What {#blank#}10{#/blank#} good idea!

This is Jack's first day of the new term(学期). He meets a girl at the school gate（大门）. 

"Nice to meet you, " he says to the girl. "I'm Jack. ____"The girl is happy to meet him and says, "Nice to meet you, too. I am Maria. "

Now they are in their classroom. They see many new things in it———desks, chairs, books, pencil boxes, schoolbags and some flowers. "What a nice classroom! I like it, " Maria says. "Yes, it is. I like it, too, " Jack says. 

Then they hear（听见）the bell at 8：00 am. It's time for class. A new teacher gets into the classroom. She wears a pair of glasses. "She must be our English teacher, " Jack says to Maria. "I think so, "Maria says. 

"Hello, boys and girls!" the teacher says. "I'm Gina Brown. This is our first class. Let's have English now. "Jack starts his happy day. 

Hello, I'm John. Last weekend, my parents took me to visit my grandparents in town. Look! This is {#blank#}1{#/blank#} photo of my grandparents' house. In the photo, my parents and I are growing vegetables {#blank#}2{#/blank#} front of it. The house is on a farm. It has two floors. {#blank#}3{#/blank#}are many flowers and trees around the house. Every day, my grandparents water the plants and feed( 喂 ) the animals. There is a lake near their house. Sometimes my grandpa goes {#blank#}4{#/blank#}there. There are about two {#blank#}5{#/blank#} families in the town. Some {#blank#}6{#/blank#} keep cows and pigs, and others grow rice. People there know {#blank#}7{#/blank#} other. They are all friendly. There are buses to the city center every day, so people usually {#blank#}8{#/blank#} the bus to do shopping. When {#blank#}9{#/blank#} stayed there, I heard the birds singing and woke up early. Then I fed the chickens {#blank#}10{#/blank#} milked the cows. We had a good time on the farm.
