Jenny is excited to go to school these days. The 13-year-old girl from South Gate Middle School in Los Angeles, US, is taking care of three green abalones(鲍鱼) at school.

The students of Violeta Llamas' science class, including Jenny, have cared for the sea animals since January. The science class has eight teams. Each team takes turns to care for the abalones. Team Five—Jenny, Alexis, Jennifer and Ricardo—have now got their turn.

The abalones are kept in a box of seawater. Every day, Alexis checks if the water has too much salt. Too much salt is bad for the health of the abalones. Jenny makes fresh seawater. Then the four students work together to clean up the waste in the box and give some food to the abalones.

    "Sea life is like a baby. You have to clean them and care for them. " Jennifer said.

Nancy Cruso, a scientist, leads the project. She said the number of green abalones is going down because people have caught too many of them. She said protecting the sea lives now depends on the young students.

"The students love taking care of the abalones. " said Llamas.

"Taking care of the abalones could open the door for those who want to be a sea life scientist or an environment protector," she said.

The students' time with the abalones will end this school year. Cruso and a team of volunteers will record the abalones and then let them return to the sea.

In a temple, a little monk（和尚） was complaining（抱怨） to an old monk, "Master, no matter what I do, why do I always meet with more difficulties than others and pay more? Please tell me, am I born with this kind of 1 life?"

Some parents don't understand their teenage children very well. They don't care about their wishes {#blank#}2{#/blank#}different moods（心情）at this special time of life. They don't understand that it is quite hard for teenagers to {#blank#}3{#/blank#}(become) adults. That is also the reason {#blank#}4{#/blank#} teenagers sometimes don't know {#blank#}5{#/blank#} to do and get angry easily.

I think I'm a good example of that kind of teenagers. I once had an experience like that. When I just started middle school, I caused a lot of problems for my teachers. I didn't obey the class rules and kept talking to my classmates in class. So the head teacher called my parents. {#blank#}6{#/blank#} they learned what had happened, my parents took me home. {#blank#}7{#/blank#} my surprise, they weren't angry with me. They talked with me about the problems and tried to find out the reason for the problems so that they could solve them. With {#blank#}8{#/blank#}(they) help, the problems were solved in the end. And I was really thankful for what they did for me. I made a{#blank#}9{#/blank#} (decide) that I would change myself from then on.
