Hello, my name is Li Lin. You can call me Jack. I'm a 14yearold schoolboy. Now, I am studying at a school in the UK. Let me tell you about the fun things I do in this country. 

I like riding my bike in the UK. I can get anywhere on my bike in Cambridge. It's really fun. But riding a bike in the UK is different from that in China. 

First, you have to ride on the left of the road. In China, you ride on the right. When I go to the UK for the first time, I ride on the right of the road. Cars run fast by me. It is terrible(可怕的). 

Second, the UK bikes have lights on them. They have a white light at the front and a red one at the back. You can use them at night and early in the morning. 

Third, in China, bikes usually have a stand (支架). But you can't find them on most of the UK bikes. Why? You can't leave your bike where you want. You have to put it in a bike park. It's a good idea. 

Every English learner wants to speak English and have a good accent, So what is the hottest accent in Britain now?

In English , RP means Received Pronunciation or Standard Pronunciation. It is what we learn at school. However, u{#blank#}1{#/blank#} Mandarin in Chinese, RP English is not popular on TV or radio in Britain though it used to be the most prestigious(有声望的）accent. It is r{#blank#}2{#/blank#} to find someone who really speaks RP English now . Probably the Queen is one of the f{#blank#}3{#/blank#} people who speak that way. 

In fact, RP English is not standard English in Britain. It's not what most people speak e{#blank#}4{#/blank#} . As we know, there was a lot of accents and dialects. F{#blank#}5{#/blank#} the way people speak English , you can understand their social, educational and geographical background. British people are so proud of the class that they are from. If they are working class, they are proud of b{#blank#}6{#/blank#} working class. And they don't want to belong to a different class. To them, the most important thing is that they can speak clearly and fluently, They love their accents. 

The h{#blank#}7{#/blank#} English accent is :don't copy other people's accent, but sometimes adjust your own accent according to different situations. 

"I don't like my parents. They are too strict. They always tell me I should do this, and should not do that. It sometimes makes me angry," said Wang Li, a middle school student in Guangzhou. Do you have the same problem? Why does it seem that some parents are not so friendly in their children's eyes?

 One of the most important reasons is when some one becomes a parent, he or she likes worrying things. They worry about everything about you, from the time you were born. They do a lot for you, though something would make you angry because they care about you and worry about you. They worry about your choice of friends, the food you eat , your work at school, how much sleep you get and so on. All these things are part of your life. They want you to live healthily and happily.

 So how can you make things easier on yourself? It's easier than you think. Make sure your parents know what you' re doing. Get them to know your friends. Phone them if you get home later than usual. Say sorry to them when you make mistakes. Talk about your ideas with them. They may talk about theirs with you. Most of all, try to think about why your parents do this or do that. They are still practicing being parents and need help you can give them.

Have you ever dreamed of a monster (怪物) hiding somewhere near you? This is what Zhu Tong is imagining (想象) in his new school. He is a third grade r and the main character in the movie Day Dreaming(《朱同在三年级丢失了超能力》).

The movie came out on the Chinese mainland on May'25. It shows Zhu's ideas and experiences at school . Many people can also relate to (理解) the problems Zhu faces, like hiding(躲藏) a bad grade from their families.

These problems, however, also bring out Zhu's "creativity "(创造力). For example, he doesn't want to show his bad exam grade to his grandpa. So, he tries to trick a shop owner into signing his grandpa's name onto the paper. The movie also looks into his inner (内心的) world . It shows the fun of childhood that comes from a wild and free imagination. In Zhu's mind, everything is possible. For example, an alien ( 外星人 ) is trying to take his math teacher away and a cloud is talking to him when he is lying on the ground.

It is a movie for all age groups. It makes us think about how, in childhood, joy is always within reach.

Saturday, April 23rd

Today was a sunny day. In the morning, we rode a bike for three people. Max sat in a basket on the front of the bike. That was fun! We took pictures of the beautiful countryside. We bought some gifts and ate some delicious food. 

In the afternoon, Mum ate some bad fruit and didn't feel well. So we stayed in the hotel. Dad and I wanted to make her happy. We dressed up(打扮) and made a funny play. Robin played the part of a dog. He was so cute. Max liked him so much. He jumped on him and licked(系) him. Of course, Robin didn't like it. We laughed and laughed. 

It was a bad day but also a good day!
