My Plan for the Weekend

Last summer my parents took me to visit my uncle's family and I was so excited. My uncle lives on a big farm. It's about 100 {#blank#}1{#/blank#}(平方的) kilometres. Their house is at the foot of a large mountain. I always have a good time there.

When we got there, we first went out for a picnic with my uncle's family. We climbed to the {#blank#}2{#/blank#} (顶端) of the mountain. The wind was so cool and the {#blank#}3{#/blank#}(风景) were so beautiful. My cousin Rob {#blank#}4{#/blank#}(展示)me some interesting huge stones. They all had unusual {#blank#}5{#/blank#}(外形;形状). Some look like animals, and some look like {#blank#}6{#/blank#}(人). I really hoped I could take one home, but they were too big!

In the afternoon, my cousin Rob took me to the forest. We walked along a {#blank#}7{#/blank#}(小路) and found a hole. It was a trap(陷阱) for hunters(猎人) to {#blank#}8{#/blank#}(抓住) little animals. We found a rabbit amd saved it. Then we saw some squirrels(松鼠) and played with them for a while. When we got home, we were so hungry and {#blank#}9{#/blank#}(渴的). We had a good dinner together. After dinner we watched TV for a while and then we went to bed.

The next day Rob {#blank#}10{#/blank#}(唤醒) me up early in the morning. We went to see the sunrise. I couldn't believe my eyes. It was so beautiful! We enjoyed it very much.

It is Mount Qomolangma that is the 1 mountain in the world. It lies 2 Nepal and China and it is so high 3 nobody but Edmund and Tenzing Norgay were the first persons 4 climbed it in 1953. 

Junko Tabei was a Japanese woman. She was the first woman 5 Mount Qomolangma. A Japanese company 6 15 women to climb the mountain in 1975. The fifteen-woman team climbed 7 some days. Then a 8 ice and snow hurt ten women. They had to stop 9 , while the other 10 women went on. 

Only Ms. Tabei was 11 to stand on the top of the world. She was 35 then. She isn't a common Japanese woman. She makes money 12 her trip by 13 children English and piano. She climbs a mountain 14 three years. She has climbed some mountains. 15 , she wants to climb the highest mountain in the world. When she gets to the top of a mountain, she feels happy. This is the sense of happiness. 

Last term I didn't like my English class. Every class was a bad dream. The teacher spoke so 1 that I couldn't understand her most of the time. I was afraid to ask questions because my 2 was very poor. I just hid(藏) behind my 3 and never said anything.

Then one day I watched an English movie called Toy Story. I fell in love with this 4 and funny movie, and I began to watch other movies. Although I could not understand every sentence the characters(角色) said, their body 5 and the expressions(表情) on their faces helped me get the meaning. I understood I could get the meaning by listening to just the key words. My pronunciation improved as well by 6 in English movies. I found out that listening to something interesting is the 7 to the language . learning. I also learned some useful sentences like" It's a piece of cake." or" It serves you right."I did not understand these8 at first. But because I wanted to understand the story, I looked 9 up in the dictionary.

Now I really enjoy my English class. I want to learn new words and more grammar10 I can understand English movies better.

Today, I was sitting on a bench (长椅) in a subway station, eating candies. At this time, a woman came and sat next 1 me. She looked upset. I said hello to her and gave her some of my candies. She 2 . She said she didn't like candies. She told me some unhappy things in her life. I tried to help 3 see the good sides. When we said goodbye, she seemed 4 a different person. A smile (微笑) appeared on her face. She took one of my 5 , put it into her mouth and said, "Thanks for talking with me. You're 6 understanding girl."

A few minutes later, I saw a blind man (盲人) coming. I went to him 7 asked if I could help him. He agreed. Our train came. I helped him get on the train and we talked all the way to his station. He gave me his name card before 8 off the train. I promised to call him. Maybe we 9 in a park one day.

Today I brought smiles and an enjoyable (快乐的) time to two people, and 10 they also made my day warmer.

 Last Saturday, Lily and her family went to the zoo. The weather was sunny and warm, perfect for a day outside. They packed sandwiches, water, and some fruit fora picnic.

 At the zoo, Lily was excited to see her favorite animals— pandas! She learned that pandas mostly eat bamboo and can sleep for more than 12 hours a day. "They are so cute and fluffy!" Lily said with a big smile.

 Next, they visited the lions. The lions were resting in the shade. Lily's little brother, Tom, said, "Look at their big paws! They must be very strong." Their mom explained, "Lions are called the ' king of the jungle' because they are powerful hunters"

 After lunch, the family walked to the bird area. There were colorful parrots, peacocks, and flamingos. The parrots could say simple words like"hello." Lily laughed when a parrot said, "Good morning!"

 Before going home, they saw the giraffes. Lily noticed how tall they were. Her dad said, "A giraffe' s neck can be up to six feet long! That's taller than most people."

 On the way back, Lily felt a little tired, but she was happy. She told her parents,"Today was so much fun. I learned a lot about animals."
