Once upon a time, there was a young man called Ma Liang He was poor. But he was kind and hard-working and liked drawing. One night, he dreamed(梦见)that an old man gave him a magic paintbrush(神奇的画笔)and asked him to use it to help poor people. When he woke up, he found the magic paintbrush in his desk.

From that day on, he used the paintbrush whenever people needed help. When he saw that people had no water to use or drink, he drew a river and the river came to life. People could bring water from the river.

Then many people knew about the magic paintbrush. But a few days later, a rich and bad man heard that the magic paintbrush could turn everything to life. He took the magic paintbrush away from Ma Liang's house and put Ma Liang into prison(监牢). Then he drew a lot of pictures with the paintbrush, but they could not become real.

So he said to Ma Liang, "If you draw some pictures for me and make them real, I will make you free."

The young man agreed and drew a sea first. Then he drew a golden mountain which was far away from the sea. The bad man said, Draw a big ship quickly. I want to go there to get the gold."

After the young man drew a big ship, the bad man jumped into the ship with his family and friends quickly. When the ship moved to the middle of the sea, the young man drew a large wave(波浪)and they never came back.

Why is work good for health? It is because work keeps people busy away from feeling lonely.  Researches show that people feel unhappy and worried when they have nothing to do. The happiest people are those who are busy. Many high achievers who love their jobs feel they are the happiest when they are working hard. They work as a bridge between their dream and reality, so they have energy every day. By working, people get to know each other. By taking part in all kinds of activities, they find friendship and warmth. This is helpful to health. The loss(丧失) of work means the loss of everything. It makes people down and it will cause more illnesses.

Besides, work makes one feel hopeful and proud. When a writer finishes his writing or a doctor successfully operates on a patient or a teacher sees his students grow, they are very happy.

From the above, we can come to a conclusion: the more you work, the happier and healthier you will be.

I'm a bit of an airplane fan. For the past few years, I {#blank#}1{#/blank#} (have) many model planes on my desk at work. You can imagine my joy when I had the chance to experience the first flight ofC919 jet yesterday. Luckily, I got one just before the tickets {#blank#}2{#/blank#} (sell) out. 

Before boarding, I found that almost every one of the 160 {#blank#}3{#/blank#} (passenger) walked around the plane to celebrate this historic moment. They got more excited {#blank#}4{#/blank#} ever before and some began to take selfies (自拍) . {#blank#}5{#/blank#} happy they were! 

The {#blank#}6{#/blank#} (excite) continued on board as the C919 took off. A special breakfast {#blank#}7{#/blank#} (serve): Shanghai noodles, some White Rabbit milk {#blank#}8{#/blank#} a special dessert with a "World's First C919" logo on it. It was a pretty short flight, about 2. 5 hours from Shanghai to Chengdu. Soon we landed at our destination, and we cheered {#blank#}9{#/blank#} (loud). Almost everyone seemed overjoyed to have taken part in such a proud moment for China. 

Now I‘m looking forward to {#blank#}10{#/blank#} (see) what new planes COMAC (中国商飞公司) has planned for the future. I can't wait to see them take on Airbus and Boeing! 

I haven't seen my teacher Mr. Jenkins since I finished school, but I often think about him. I wasn't good at most school {#blank#}1{#/blank#}. The only thing that I could remember is where the rain comes from! However, when I was 15 and went in Mr. Jenkins' class, everything changed.

I know that I wasn't smart, {#blank#}7{#/blank#} Mr. Jenkins made me feel that I had my own strengths. Then, I became {#blank#}8{#/blank#} active student in learning new things. I was {#blank#}9{#/blank#} in the study of the stars and planets and he asked me to give a report to the class. Now I take a job as a science teacher {#blank#}10{#/blank#} Mr. Jenkins.

One day,a baby snail(蜗牛) found that he had to carry a big and heavy shell at any time. He asked his mother,"Why was I born with a shell?It {#blank#}1{#/blank#} (grow)so hard and heavy. " His mother said,Because we don't have bones(骨头) to support us. We move {#blank#}2{#/blank#}(slow),so we need a shell to protect us. "

The baby snail then cried ,"We are so poor!We have no {#blank#}6{#/blank#}(protect) like that !"His mother smiled at him,"That's why we have a shell. My dear,imagine {#blank#}7{#/blank#} we don't have the shell, what will happen to us?Our bodies will be {#blank#}8{#/blank#}(dry) out by the hot sun and we'll have nowhere to sleep. What'sB{#blank#}9{#/blank#}(bad),we'll die in the heavy rain. We don't depend on the sky. We should depend on {#blank#}10{#/blank#}(we). "

I was playing at the front gate, trying to decide whether to walk down the street to play with Jenny, when I saw a poor man coming up the road. 

"Hello, little girl, " he said, "is your mama at home?"

I nodded and opened the gate to let him get in the yard. He looked like all the homeless men who came to my home before. His messy hair hung below a shapeless hat, and his old shirt and trousers had been rained on and slept in. He smelled bad. 

He walked to the door. When my mother appeared, he asked, "Lady, could you spare something to eat?"

"I think so. Please sit on the step. "

Later, my mother came back and handed him a sandwich made from homemade bread and generous pieces of boiled meat. She also gave him a bottle of milk. "I thank you, lady, " he said. 

I played at the gate, watching the man wolf down the sandwich and empty the cup. After finishing the food, he stood up and walked back through the gate. "▲" he told me on the way out. 

Jenny had said all the homeless men told each other who would feed them. "They never come to my house!" she had said proudly and happily. 

"So why does Mama feed the poor man?" I wondered. I walked inside. "Jenny's mama says those men are too lazy to work. Why do we feed them?"

My mother smiled. "Sweetheart, we don't know why these men don't work, " she said, "but they were babies once. And their mamas loved them, just like I love you. " She put her hands on my shoulders and drew me close to her. 

"For me, I fed them for their mothers, because if you were ever hungry and had nothing to eat, I would want others' mothers to feed you. "

I seemed to find out the answer to my question and understand that.
