When we talk about "health and wealth"，different people have different ideas about it. Some think that wealth means everything. To them，wealth or having a lot of money can help them to do what they want to do. With a lot of money, they can buy beautiful houses，expensive cars，beautiful clothes，and so on. They even have the idea that they can buy happiness which they like. 

On the other hand, some other people don't agree with those people above. They believe that health is more important than wealth. First，you can enjoy a happier life with a healthy body than those wealthy people with poor health. Second，you can't succeed without good health. Third，a healthy body is also necessary for a successful career or making money. 

Money can't help you buy everything，especially health, so keep healthy first if you want to become rich. It is well known that a person can make a lot of money if he has the right chance during his life. But if the person suffers from terrible illness，then no matter how much money he may make，he will still lead a bad life. Therefore，health is much more important than wealth. 

Skiing(滑雪） is one of the most popular sports in the world especially in Norway (挪威). It is the best way to have fun in winter. Almost everyone can ski. Children learn to ski after they learn to walk. Long long ago in Norway, there were no buses, trains or cars. People had to find a way to walk over the deep snow. Skis were the right answer!

Although they love winter, the people of Norway are also happy to see summer come. They enjoy the outdoor activities at any time of the year. In summer they swim and sunbathe near the beach. 

Some people go cycling and go mountain climbing. Sail-boating is also very popular during the warm sunny summer months. 

The Norwegians (挪威人), like people everywhere, find many indoor ways to have a good time. During the long winter they also enjoy movies. They like to read books from the libraries in all seasons. Family life is very important to the people of Norway. 

The Qingming Festival, which usually falls between April 4 and 6 each year, on the 108th day after the Winter Solstice e (冬至), is one of the 24 seasonal division points in the traditional Chinese calendar.

Qingming, strictly meaning "pure and bright", shows rising temperatures and increased rainfall at the start of spring. It always rains around Qingming, providing a typical scene for the festival. Some 1,200 years ago, a Chinese poem written by the great Tang Dynasty poet Du Mu illustrated (描述) a scene of Qingming:

A drizzlingrain falls like tears on the Mourning Day；

The mourner's heart is going to break on his way.

Where can a wineshop be found to drown his sad hours?

A cowherd points to a cot'mid apricot flowers.

The Qingming Festival in spring is the occasion for visiting ancestral graves(坟墓).Qing Ming is popularly connected with Jie Zitui, who lived in Shanxi province in 600B. C. To mark Jie, the lord Chong Er ordered all fires in every home to be put out on the anniversary of Jie's death. Thus began the "cold food feast", a day when no food could be cooked since no fire could be lit. The "cold food" festival falls on the eve of Qing Ming and is often considered as part of the QingMing Festival. As time passed, the Qing Ming Festival replaced the "cold food" festival. No matter what changes there are, one thing that will never change of Qing Ming is to remember one's elders by making a special effort to visit their graves, ashes or ancestral tablets.

 What do teenagers(青少年) usually do after school? Are today's teenagers lazy?

A survey(调查) shows that today teenagers spend fifty hours doing after-school activities, homework, and housework. Jessica Watson, 14, isn't surprised. "I go to school from 8:30 a. m. to 3:30  p. m. But after school I don't go home or watch TV. I'm in the school volleyball club and I have to practice on Tuesdays and Fridays. I also take dance classes on Thursdays."

 At home, Jessica spends a lot of time doing homework. "I have to do two or three hours of homework every night," says Jessica. This is normal for teenagers today. On average(平均), they spend about nine hours a week doing homework.

 Jessica also helps with the housework. "My parents often get home late. I have to clean the house. Mom does the shopping and the cooking, and Dad washes the dishes."

 On Saturdays and Sundays, Jessica works in a clothes store. "Mom and Dad don't give me money, so I have to work to get money for CDs and going out with my friends."

Jessica is unhappy when adults say teenagers are lazy. "Adults think we watch TV, listen to music, and use the phone all the time. But this isn't true. I enjoy doing those things, but I do a lot of other things, too."

Oliver Twist was brought up in the workhouse where only the poor and homeless lived. He was pale, thin and short for his age. The boys ate meals in a large stone hall. They ate a bowl of thin soup three times a day, with half a piece of bread on Sundays. The boys were always hungry and ate everything up. The bowls never needed washing. The boys polished(擦亮) them with their spoons(勺子) until they shone. 

 The boys got hungrier and hungrier until one day they intended to do something . One boy had to ask for more food that evening. So they decided who would go by drawing lots. Each boy took a piece of paper and anyone who got paper with a mark on it would do that. It turned out that Oliver Twist was that boy. 

 The evening arrived, the soup was served, and soon the bowls were empty again in a few seconds. The boys were desperate(绝望) with hunger. With fear, Oliver went up to the master who was a fat and healthy man. He held up his bowl and said, "Please, sir, I want some more. "

 The master turned very pale when he heard Oliver's words. "What?"said the master ina surprising voice. 

"Please, sir, "repeated Oliver, "Would you please give me more? I want some more. "The master hit him with the spoon heavily, then took Oliver's arms and shouted to tell the board(理事会). 

"He asked for more?" Mr Limbkins, the fattest board member, asked in horror. "The boy is ungrateful!" "That boy will be hanged in the future!" said another board member. Oliver was then locked up in a dark room.

 Peter Penguin had an idea. The family picnic happened only once a year, so why not take a family photo?"How will I bring everyone together?" Peter wondered.

 Peter ran over to get his uncles. They were making cupcakes.

 Peter said. "I'm trying to take a family photo."

"That's a great idea." his uncle said without moving.

 Then Peter walked to tell his aunts. They were talking about

 something interesting

 After a while, Peter saw his cousins playing games. "It's time for the family photo." he called. The cousins smiled, "We can't now, Peter. We' re busy!"

 Peter was sad. No one was ready for the family photo. Everyone was too busy having fun."Why are you so sad?" asked . Grandma. He told her everything. Grandma smiled, "Having a picture of the family is :meanıngtul But taking photos of everyone's fun moments is also important. It can help everyone remember the fun they had. "Peter nodded.

"Are you ready to have fun?" she asked.

"Yes!" Peter said. To his surprise, Grandma started a snowball fight! The delighted Peter enjoyed himself for an hour. And then, he got the meaning of grandma's advice and knew what to do next...
