We all need a healthy environment, but we produce waster every day and it does harm to our environment. Though we are young, we can still do something to help. In fact, even the simplest everyday activities can make a real difference to the environment. Here are some ideas for you to live a green life.
Remember these three words; reduce, reuse and recycle(减量、再使用和再循环).
Reduce means “use less”. Don't waste things. This saves money and reduces pollution and waste going into the environment. Before we buy something new, think if it is really necessary or maybe the old one will be just as good! When we do buy things, choose local products if possible, and try not to buy too many things from abroad.
Reuse means “use again”. Use things for as long as possible. When we buy things, make sure that they last a long time. We should take care of them so that they will last, and we should repair them if we can instead of throwing them away and buying new ones. Don't use a paper cup or a paper bag. It's better to use a china cup and a lunch box because you can use them again.
Recycle means “change things into something else”. Although it takes energy to change something into something else, it's better than throwing things away or burning them. Find out what can be recycled in your neighbourhood and take part in recycling programmes. We should also buy products made from recycled materials, such as recycled paper, to help save trees.

    What's your favorite sweet? Perhaps there is nothing like chocolate. It is popular all over the world.
    Chocolate comes from a civilization (文明) called the Maya. They had a special food called cocoa.  {#blank#}1{#/blank#}About five hundred years ago, the Europeans found the Mayans. They used cocoa to make chocolate.
     {#blank#}3{#/blank#}For centuries, only the rich could enjoy chocolate.   {#blank#}2{#/blank#}All this changed when European companies started to make chocolate bars in the 19th century.
     {#blank#}4{#/blank#}White, dark and milk chocolate are what people often eat. The biggest chocolate bar ever was made in Italy in 2011. It weighed almost 6 tons ! That's as big as an elephant.
     {#blank#}5{#/blank#}People often take them as holiday gifts. Chocolate bunnies and eggs are popular on Easter, chocolate coins are common on Christmas, and chocolate hearts are great gifts for Valentine's Day. In certain parties and wedding ceremonies (结婚典礼), chocolate fountains (喷泉) always surprise people.
    Not necessarily so! Scientists now say it is good for people's heart and can make people feel good. But don't eat too much of it.
A. Chocolate comes in different colors and sizes.
B. There are also different shapes of chocolate.
C. The word cocoa means "gift from God".

A. Never be afraid to give.

B. Plan ahead as much as possible.

C. Work out your priorities (优先考虑的事).

D. Be disciplined (有纪律) at all times.

F. Stick to a schedule.

Being Well-Organized And Getting Things Done

    Being well-organized and getting things done and what we have done is tried to make them as easy to follow as possible to allow you to implement them immediately. There is no doubt that being organized does make a difference.

    ①{#blank#}1{#/blank#}

    It is something that you should do every single day and the best way to approach this is to place things in order of importance. Watching that movie may sound like a good idea, but put that at the bottom of the list and focus on things that influence your work, health, or anything else that is key to your survival (生存).

    ②{#blank#}2{#/blank#}

    Next, you should consider trying to plan ahead, so if you know that there is an appointment at a certain location for a certain time, then plan your day around that appointment.

    ③{#blank#}3{#/blank#}

    Knowing where everything is really will allow you to get more things done as you will waste less time hunting for that object that you require to complete your task. Too much time is wasted hunting for keys or that piece of paper and it also just stresses you out and can upset your pace.

    ④{#blank#}4{#/blank#}

    Giving tasks to others will always lead to you getting more done, but it is not just a case of picking anybody to do a task. Instead, you need to make sure that they are capable of doing it without running into any problems and that they do have the correct tools to complete the job.

    ⑤{#blank#}5{#/blank#}

    Having a schedule will help to force you into completing tasks on time and actually getting more done in the process. The only problem here is that you need to be sensible when working out how long something takes or you will put undue pressure on yourself and this is where mistakes can occur and you will actually then start to get less done.

    With air pollution making much difference to many of Chinese cities, parents are calling for the installation(安装) of air cleaners in classrooms. There has been much debate over whether air cleaners should be used in China's schools. Some parents have donated cleaners to their children's classrooms, while others raise money together to make the purchase(购买). “Our school bought air cleaners last year. We did a little fund raising, with each parent throwing in several hundred for that,” said one parent.

    However, the idea of installing air cleaners for all the classes has been refused by some schools. Liu Liangcheng, vice-principal of Beijing's Taipinglu Primary School, says installing air cleaners bought by parents may lead to problems. “We have refused air cleaners bought by parents before, as there are clear and strict rules against educational fees. We can't just break the rules here. And without standard guidance (指示) from local authorities(权威部门), it is hard to decide on the brand of the cleaner, installation and even safety of the device(设备).”

    Moreover, experts say air cleaners can cause other health problems. Deng Gaofeng who works for the China Academy of Building Research says. “ In the classroom, if we keep windows and doors closed, the concentrations (浓度) of CO2 will double from 1,000 PPM to some 2,000 PPM. According to national safety standards, the highest level should not be more than 1,500.” In addition, experts say air cleaners on the market are mostly designed for homes or offices. Evaluation(评估) is needed to know whether they are suitable in classrooms.

    It seems whether air cleaners should enter China's schools is an ongoing question. It still requires a more detailed plan.
