Jim is a student. He lives far from his school. He gets up very early in the morning. 

He goes to the subway station（车站） by bike. It takes him about ten minutes（分钟） . Then he takes the subway to the station near his school. Usually he stays on the subway for thirty minutes. He often reads books on the subway. After ten minutes' walk, he gets to his school. Every day it takes（花费） Jim a lot of time to go to school. But he thinks it's good exercise and he enjoys his time on the way to school.

Say "NO" to Bullying!

Bullying is a big problem at school. Many students are bullied(受欺凌) every year in different ways. Hurting a person' s body is a kind of bullying, such as hitting or kicking. Saying or writing bad words is also a kind of bullying, such as laughing at others or giving others bad nicknames. Some bullying hurts people' s friendship. For example, some children may ask other children not to play with someone.

There will be a school camping night on the playground this Friday evening. There will be different groups. Come and join us!

Mike and his father are sitting at the table. They are having their lunch. "I don't like this soup. I don't want to eat it," says Mike and he puts down the spoon.

 After lunch Mike and his father work in the field. They work hard. In the evening, Mike's father gives him a cup of soup. "Oh, this soup is nice," says Mike. "It is the same soup," says his father.

I am Jiamin. December18th is my birthday, so it is my favourite day. I am very happy on that day. I eat eggs and noodles for breakfast. My friends come to my home and play with me. We sing songs and dance together. Someone plays the piano and someone plays the guitar. My parents cook delicious food for lunch. We can have fish, meat and vegetables for the main course and a sweet chocolate cake for dessert. After lunch, my friends and I play outdoors. After dinner, my parents and I watch TV. Then I go to bed at nine thirty. I don't do my homework on that day. I am very tired but happy on my birthday.

Uncle Wang works in a book shop in the middle of the city. The shop is not far(远) from his home. It is about one kilometre(公里) away. So Uncle Wang seldom(很少) goes to work by bus. He usually goes there by bike, sometimes on foot. It takes(花费) him twenty minutes to get there by bike and forty minutes on foot. His work starts at half past eight in the morning and finishes at a quarter to five in the afternoon.

Last Monday, his bike was broken(坏了). He wanted to walk there. He had breakfast at home. He left(离开) home at ten to eight and he walked to work twenty minutes earlier(更早).
