Recently, a primary school in Jiangsu, brought out a new policy(政策) about homework. Students should stop doing homework at 9 pm, even if they haven't finished all of it. They don't need to make it up the next day. This is to make sure that students have enough sleep time. Do you think it's a good idea?

I met Miss C about 45 years ago. Back then, she was my {#blank#}1{#/blank#}(sister) kindergarten teacher. I used{#blank#}2{#/blank#}(wish) I was her student when I looked into her classroom. Miss C {#blank#}3{#/blank#}(create) a safe place where children could be whatever they wanted to be. But my parents and sister told me I could start school when I was 4.

For as long as I can remember, I've wanted to be{#blank#}4{#/blank#}teacher. When I graduated, I couldn't wait to invite Miss C to my classroom. She arrived one day, and I saw joy on my students'{#blank#}5{#/blank#} (face) when they learned with her. After that, she often volunteered in my classroom. Over the years, we have shared our ups and downs{#blank#}6{#/blank#}each other. She asks me about my family and friends, and she tells me about hers.

I am here in her house now as the time to sell her house is near. I bring up boxes from her basement (地下室).I find papers about the ABC letters. I find my own name, too.{#blank#}7{#/blank#} (sudden), my mind goes back to Room 3.

Many years ago, Miss C sat on a chair while my classmates and I sat on the carpet. We learned about the letters. Now. Miss C and I sit on the chairs in her house, and we talk for hours. I listen carefully {#blank#}8{#/blank#}I know I still have more to learn from her.

It's amazing to meet a teacher{#blank#}9{#/blank#}can both teach you knowledge and support you in your life.{#blank#}10{#/blank#} lucky I am! Our friendship is one that neither of us expected.

 Shyness is a kind of fear. People who are shy always worry too much about what people think of them or embarrassing(使尴尬) themselves in some way in front of others. How can we overcome shyness?

1. Have a good posture(姿势)

 The way a person holds himself/ herself says a lot about that person. People with sloped(倾斜的) shoulders don't think of themselves as important. So stand up straight, put your shoulders back, keep your head up, and always make eye contact(接触). By practicing good posture, you will feel you have the ability to do things well.

2. Increase your walking speed

 You can tell if a person is confident (自信的) by the way he/ she walks. People who walk in a slow way, and look at the ground while they walk usually have no confidence in themselves. However, people who have confidence in themselves walk faster. That is because they have important things to do, friends to meet, places to go, etc. So walk a little faster, keep your head up, and look straight ahead.

3. Do some exercise

 Exercise increases your energy levels in the body. That will put you in a more positive(积极的) state of mind. By doing exercise, you will feel sure of yourself. Think about it; it is better to do some exercise than just watching TV all day.

4. Do things that make you feel good about yourself

 This can be anything that you really like doing like going to the theater, listening to music, traveling, helping someone out of a problem, etc.

Every child has a hobby. My hobby is studying the night sky. But some friends of mine have special hobbies.
