① As Daddy's only daughter, I know what makes my Daddy more fantastic than all the other fathers — his big hands.

The Water Dragon Festival of Luodai has been celebrated for many years in Loodai Ancient Town in Chengdu. There is Hakka dragon dance in Luodai every year. 

There is a story about Luodai. In the Three Kingdoms period (三国时期). Liu Adou accidentally dropped his jade belt (玉带) into a well (井) in the town. Adou asked his servant to pick the jade belt from the well. Surprisingly, it began to rain when the servant was looking for the belt in the well. It stopped raining when he stopped that. Finally, the town was called Luodai. 

The Hakka connected the dragon dance with the story to wish for rain in Luodai. Then the Hakka danced water dragon and washed the well to thank god for rain and harvest(丰收) every year. It has become a tradition in Luodai. 

The Water Dragon Festival usually starts from the end of July to the end of August. During the time, there will be many kinds of water dragon activities every weekend. The dragon dance usually starts at two o'clock in the afternoon and lasts for about two hours. The dragon dance of the Liu family is the most famous one. The water dragon flies up and down in the streets. People splash(泼洒) water on the dragon dancers. People play with water together happily. Adults, children, Chinese, foreigners, men and women splash water on each other. Hakkas regard water as good luck and they splash water on others to wish others good luck. Laughter is everything. 

Have you heard of depression(抑郁症)? It's a mental illness. People who have it may feel轮sad all the time or do something to hurt themselves. Now, doctors can put a"happy switch(开关)" in their heads to help them. The "happy switch" is a kind of Brain-Computer Interface (BCI, 脑机接口). It works like a bridge— it connects your brain to a computer. Some BCIs can influence people's brain activities. Some can let people control the computer with their thoughts.

Doctors at Shanghai Ruijin Hospital helped a patient called Wu Xiaotian. Wu, 31, has had depression since he was 15years old.

The doctors did a surgery on Wu. They put two long lines of electrodes(电极) inside his brain. The 16 electrodes are used to let out electricity on different parts of the brain, which can change the patient's feelings. The electrodes are connected to a small "box"—the power source(电源)—inside Wu's body.

Wu can control the"happy switch"remotely via an app on his phone. When feeling down,Wu turns on the switch and the electrodes start working. He is soon cheered up. "It feels like there is power rising from the inside of my body," Wu said.

"The hospital has tested the switch on 26 patients since 2020. Up to now , it has helped cut down a patient's sad feelings by 60 percent," said the hospital.

But is the switch safe enough? Although patients like Wu feel great using it, the implant surgery is actually a dangerous one. Also, doctors have to make sure that patients don't rely on it. Healthy people shouldn't use it, or it may be like a kind of addiction(瘾) for them.

I want to tell you about a very exciting holiday I had. Last December I went to the Ice Hotel with my father. It was in a village of Sweden. 

It was a special hotel made of ice and snow. I read an interesting report about this hotel in a travel magazine and I showed it to my father. He was so excited that we decided to go. 

It was like a dream. We were so surprised. Everything was made of ice. A woman at the door gave us special coats and gloves. We could use them to protect ourselves in the very cold place. There was a garden at the hotel. There we saw a lot of nice sculptures (雕塑). Some artists came to the Ice Hotel and they made them with ice. In the evening we ate at the hotel restaurant. They put the food on ice plates. We had some fantastic fish and a delicious dessert. Of course, it was ice cream!

There was a nice shop there too. I bought a sweater and a cap, but I didn't buy many things because they were very expensive. In the shop, I met a girl named Catherine. She is from France. She wanted to buy a sweater, but she didn't speak English, so I helped her. We became friends. Yesterday I got an email from her with several photos she took at the hotel. It was really a fantastic holiday.

Zheng Qinghua，president of Tongji University，suggested that young people should be guided to improve their understanding of the knowledge created by technology. AI technology has become increasingly important for getting and spreading knowledge，and it also influences teaching，learning and school management，Zheng mentioned many models such as Ernie Bot，an AI chatbot product of Baidu，were widely used among college students in China. The tool can write articles，solve science problems，and help students with homework and tests. 

Besides，a survey done by the online learning platform Study showed that 89 percent of students had used ChatGPT to help with homework. This made people worry about the bad influence of AI on education. For example，students may not be honest. Instead of simply depending on AI to provide answers or complete homework and tests，people should focus on using AI to help students improve professional skills. In this way，they can better solve real﹣world problems，said Zheng. 

According to Colin Bailey，president of Queen Mary University of London，as ChatGPT grows rapidly，the focus should not be on whether to use AI in education，but on how to use it safely，effectively，and properly. Banning AI in schools is not the solution. Bailey also warned about harm caused by poorly designed （设计的） AI. 

Efforts to manage AI have come out around the world. In China，some rules for managing AI services have been carried out. America and England also have had similar rules.
